I K Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) Jalandhar, commonly referred to as PTU, is the competent authority that conducts admission to MBA courses offered by IKGPTU and other affiliated colleges. The university holds the centralized counselling process for the allotment of seats to more than 34 MBA colleges in Punjab that are affiliated with the university. What is PTU MBA Cut Off?
PTU releases the Cut Off Rank for various colleges each year. The PTU MBA Cut Off is basically the closing rank of candidates who were allotted seats to a college in any particular round of MBA admissions in Punjab. Only candidates who clear the cutoff are offered admission to any particular college. The cut off is different for each round and is calculated individually for each college.

The PTU MBA Cut Off is a very important metric that helps a candidate decide whether they can get admission to an MBA college in Punjab. Only candidates with a rank equal to or lower than the cutoff rank will be allotted a seat in any college. The previous year cut offs provide a candidate with a reference for the same purpose. However, it must be noted that the cut off for a year is not influenced by the previous year's cut off. It can vary every year depending on the factors described above.
About PTU MBA Counselling Process 2021
The PTU MBA Counselling Process starts with the candidates registering on the PTU Admissions website (ptuadmissions.nic.in), filling up the application form and paying the counselling fee. Based on the credentials entered by the candidate, PTU prepares the merit list of candidates in which each candidate is assigned a Rank. The Rank preparation is done as per the rules & regulations laid down by the Punjab Government as well as by the participating universities. Seats are then allotted to individual candidates based on their Rank prepared by the PTU.
