Odisha +3 Selection Process 2025
The admissions for Odisha +3 degree colleges are done strictly on the basis of the merit of the candidates. Admissions in the streams of arts, science, and commerce are done considering the marks obtained by the applicants and their overall academic records. The details of the Odisha +3 selection process 2025 are provided below.
- Candidates are admitted to the colleges on the basis of marks secured by them in the higher secondary (class 12th) exams.
- The reservation policy is followed in the way it is prescribed by the government.
- If a candidate has completed the Higher Secondary (10 + 2) exams or its equivalent, compartmentally them the average marks scored by him/ her in each subject will be taken into consideration for determining the aggregate marks.
- The computation of marks is done in the following way:
- Aggregate Percentage = (A * 600)/ B
Where A = Total marks obtained by the candidate (no selection of best four or best five subjects will be done).
B = Total (maximum) marks of all the subjects.
- For selecting students who have the same marks for the arts and commerce colleges, preference will be given to their marks in the subject English. Modern Indian Languages (MIL) will be given the second preference after English.
- In science colleges, marks in the subject English will be the first preference for selecting students with equal percentages. The second preference will be given to the marks in Chemistry.
- Only one confirmed seat will be given to a candidate according to his/ her choice of preference if she/she is selected.
- The selection of Honours (Core) will be done subject-wise through online mode in the place of streamwise selection.
- Hostel seats will also be allotted online. Priority will be given to the PH/ OH students followed by the students belonging to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) from other districts. The third preference will be given to the SC (Scheduled Caste) students of other districts.
- In the case of slide up (which is from the lower option to the higher option), students will have to pay or will receive the differential amount as per the admission fees of the selected colleges via online mode in order to confirm the seat for his/ her admission.
- Under no circumstances will a candidate be allowed to remain in the college of his/ her lower choice. Hence, the selection of options for the colleges as well as subjects is of utmost importance.
