Top Campus Recruiting Companies: Deloitte Leads at Campus Placements 2016

Management Schools are an essential part of campus placements as every organization needs management students for proficient decision making which is vital for the business to thrive.

According to a survey conducted by a popular business newspaper, Deloitte has topped the charts at campus placements in 2016. In the last five years, Deloitte has witnessed a growth of 30 to 40 placement in the B-school hiring.

SV Nathan, Chief Talent Officer at Deloitte said that MBA students are more industry aware and prove to be the key talent while hiring.
Talking about the campus engagement activities, Nathan said that there is a need to influence the minds of individuals and this the approach they have adopted. He also said that they are working to improve the gender diversity. Deloitte hired 282 students from the 2016 batch of the 28 B-Schools that were surveyed. Out of this around 50 % students were females.

Apart from Deloitte, ICICI Bank had a very good performance in the campus placement drives among the above-mentioned management institutions.
Cognizant was another rising performer. The IT giant hires one MBA graduate for every 20 to 25 technical professionals, listing itself in one of the most aggressive MBA recruiters in the nation.
Vice-President of Human Resources, Cognizant, said that they have recruited more than 1,200 MBA graduates in the last three years in order to boost their growth. This year it has recruited 245 MBA students from the 2016 batch according to the data collected from the above 28 B-Schools. The company currently has a workforce of 244,300 employees.

TK Srirang, HR Head, ICICI Bank said that apart from management institutes, they also recruit students from engineering colleges in order to lead the company in the digital banking domain. The bank has also hired graduates from premier law schools as well.
Contradicting the evaluation of IT industry body Nasscom that stated that engineering campus hiring will decline for the first time since 2009, Infosys did not register a prominent change in the recruitments in 2016. The number of students hired was much similar to the past two years. The number of employees working at Infosys are 197,000.

Wipro is more likely to hire students for the profiles in sales, pre-sales, marketing, business analyst and corporate function roles. More than 70,000 employees are currently part of Wipro across six continents.
As far as e-commerce is concerned, Amazon is the only contender in the list of top 10 recruiters in India for the session 2016. The e-commerce giant has witnessed 140% increase in the intake of MBA graduates in the past two years.
