Registration for UGC NET: Candidates must first visit the exam's official website to register for UGC NET 2023. Candidates can click the Submit button after filling out all the required information. Candidates must next verify the data provided on the page and press the "Final Submit" button to continue the application process. An application number will appear on the screen after all the information has been submitted. Candidates must write down the application number that the system generates for future use.

Fill out the UGC NET Application Form: Candidates must next click the button labeled "Complete Application Form" and begin filling out the form's remaining fields. In the UGC NET application form, you must provide the following information:

• Post Applying for (Assistant Professor/ JRF)
• Select 4 exam centers of your choice
• Subject opted for the exam
• Education Details
• Doctorate details
• Research/ M.Phil/ PhD/ Ex-Service Details

Candidates must complete the form completely before clicking the Submit button and reviewing the information provided. Then, candidates must press the "Final Submit" button.

Upload Signature and Photo: Candidates must then upload their scanned signatures and photographs in accordance with the guidelines listed on the official website. The signature and scanned photos must be in JPEG format.

UGC NET Application Fee Payment: Candidates can use the SBI/ HDFC/ Syndicate/ ICICI/ Paytm payment portal (debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI) to pay the UGC NET 2023 application fee.

Downloading the Confirmation Page: A confirmation page will be generated once the application fee has been paid successfully. Candidates must print at least four copies of the confirmation page and save them for their records. The UGC NET 2023 application process will thereafter be finished.
 

UGC NET exam in law is a tough competitive exam that entails vast syllabus to be covered by candidates preparing for the examination. The University Grant Commission (UGC) has updated its regulations, delaying until 2023 the necessity of a PhD for the hiring of assistant professors. According to this modification, candidates for the position of assistant professor are no longer required to have a PhD. Until 2023, candidates may apply for the position using their UGC NET results. After June 2023, it will be mandatory for candidates to have a PhD degree along with qualifying the UGC NET exam to become eligible for the post of Assistant Professor/ Lecturer in public and private universities.

The first job path for those with a UGC NET certificate is a lectureship at a reputable university (private or public), which has been approved by the Indian government. There, you can easily rake in a sizable sum of remuneration. But a Ph.D is now required in all universities that fall under the jurisdiction of the UGC in order to be promoted to Assistant Professor level. If you receive a JRF certification, you will also have the extra benefit of being given preference over those with only NET credentials. However, it also depends on your inherent qualities and how well you did on the exam and in the interview.

For UGC NET JRF qualified candidates, a Ph.D or M.Phil offers an additional professional path. You are able to earn a stipend while pursuing higher education.
