UTET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who are appearing for UTET 2024 have to fulfil certain eligibility conditions decided by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Only those applicants who meet the eligibility set for UTET 2024 will be allowed to sit for the exam. - Higher Secondary with a minimum of 50% marks and completion of a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed/BTC).
- Shiksha Mitra personnel with a two-year Diploma (D.El.Ed) from IGNOU.
For Paper 2 (Class 6 to 8)
- Graduation with a minimum of 45% marks and a B.Ed degree following NTEC guidelines.
- Graduation in any discipline with 50% marks along with a B.Ed degree.
- SSC or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks and a four-year Bachelor's degree in BA/BSc Ed or BA Ed/BSc Ed.
UTET 2024 Examination Pattern
UTET 2024 will be conducted using the traditional pen and paper method. Candidates interested in teaching positions for classes 1st to 5th must take UTET 2024 Paper 1, while those aspiring to teach upper primary classes (6th, 7th, and 8th) need to sit for UTET 2024 Paper 2. If a candidate is open to teaching in both categories, they will need to appear for both exams. Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 of UTET 2024 will be administered on the same day but at different time slots, each lasting two hours and thirty minutes.
