LPUNEST BTech 2025: Dates (Out), Eligibility, Admission Process

Currently qualifying the LPUNEST  exam is mandatory for most of the programmes where it acts as eligibility as well as scholarship test except in some programmes where it only acts as a scholarship test. Yes, it is easy to get admission at LPU. Firstly candidates will have to apply for the LPUNEST exam and appear for it. They will have to qualify in the LPUNEST examination and appear for the counselling after which they will be allotted the courses according to their interest and performance in the LPUNEST entrance examination.

Through LPUNEST 2025, you can get admission to several BTech courses like BTech Electronics and Communications Engineering, BTech Computer Science and Engineering, BTech Mechanical Engineering, BTech Automobile Engineering, BTech Civil Engineering, BTech Electrical Engineering, BTech Biotechnology, etc. 
 

Candidates qualifying for the LPUNEST 2025 exam must pay the fee either online or manually at the university campus/Camp Office. After receiving the LPUNEST 2025 scorecard, candidates should fill in their seat preferences online, choosing from various streams and programs based on their discipline. A course will be allocated during the first round of counselling, depending on the availability of seats and the choices made by the candidates. To confirm their seat, candidates need to deposit an initial fee of Rs. 10000, which includes a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500 that will be adjusted against the first-semester course fee. Also, candidates must complete the admission form and submit documents along with the fee, a passport-sized photograph, proof of date of birth (such as a Matric certificate, PAN card, or Aadhaar card), and eligibility proof (graduation mark sheet/transcript). If the eligibility proof is not available at the time of application, it can be submitted later. All submitted documents must be verified against originals within the specified timelines, and the remaining balance fee must be paid by the university's deadline.
 

The eligibility criteria for various BTech courses include candidates to score at least 60% aggregate marks in Class 12 or equivalent. For BTech in Biotechnology, candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, English, and either Mathematics, or Biology or Biotechnology, and qualify for LPUNEST or CUET. Similarly, for BTech in Chemical Engineering, applicants need Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and English, along with the same entrance exam qualifications. For other BTech courses, candidates must have 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and English, also subject to LPUNEST or CUET. The specific criteria for BTech in Food Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, and Automobile Engineering are not detailed.
 

LPUNEST 2025 will be conducted from January 10, 2025, to February 5, 2025, for remotely proctored exams and January 20, 2025, to February 5, 2025, for LPU NEST 2025 test centre-based exams.
