Yes!! The university had set an eligibility criteria inorder to secure the admission to the programme which the candidate wish to pursue and those who falls under this eligibility criteria will be admitted to the programme as well. Moreover, coming towards the B.Tech programme offered by the university the eligibilty comes with the LPUNEST exam which means the candidates need to pass the LPUNEST exam inorder to secure the admission. But in my personnel opinion i would say to give the LPUNEST exam as it is much more easier as comapared to other national level exams as well as the university also offers the students with the better scholarship benefits on the basis of marks obtained in the LPUNEST exam as well. No LPUNEST is not strictly compulsory for admission in btech program. LPU accommodates students who have clear national level entrance test like CUET, JEE main etc. If the student does not clear the national level test with required % then the student have to give LPUNEST paper clear the exam and take admission. However giving LPUNEST paper is an advantage for students to grab the scholarship. LPU does provide scholarship based on academic marks, National level test, LPUNEST and so on.

Hello, Yes! LPUNEST is compulsory for B.Tech programmes at LPU. The university offers many B.Tech programmes along various disciplines and the eligibility to get into the univeristy is to attend the entrance exam LPUNEST along with the univeristy eligibility criteria of a minimum percentage in the previous qualification i.e 10+2 along with some of the mandatory subjects. For example, inorder to pursue B.Tech CSE at LPU the candidate need to follow the eligibility criteria to pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 with (physics, mathematics, and english) along with subjects to qualify LPUNEST exam as well. This is the eligibility criteria set by the uiversity and in most of the B.Tech programme the eligibility will be same and sometimes may vary depends on the basis of specilizations that the candidate choose for. In other words i would say LPUNEST exam is the best way for the candidate to get into his dream programme with the better scholarship benefits that the candidate could get.
