Management Quota (Category-B) BTech Admission through TS EAMCET 2024: BTech seats for Engineering Colleges in Telangana are divided into 2 categories - Category A and Category B. While Category A seats are filled strictly on the basis of the entrance exam, Category B seats are reserved for management quota admission (without an entrance exam). However, as per the latest guidelines shared by TS EAMCET authorities, candidates can also get admission to the management quota through TS EAMCET. The TSCHE or the respective college management will issue a notification outlining the availability of Category B seats as well as the admission rules. Candidates need to fill out the application form to apply for management quota BTech admission through TS EAMCET 2024. Following that, a merit list will be prepared after considering several factors. Candidates whose name appears on the merit list will be able to take part in the TS EAMCET 2024 Counselling

What is Category B BTech Admission through TS EAMCET 2024?

The seats for BTech admission in Telangana Engineering Colleges are divided into 2 categories: Category A and Category B. The classification of these 2 categories can be understood through the points below:

1. Category A seats: 70% of the sanctioned intake are under this category and these seats are filled by the TS EAMCET Convenor.

2 . Category B seats: 30% of the sanctioned intake in each course is made by the competent authority of the Government of A.P. through the online admission process.

Important Guidelines for Management Quota (Category-B) BTech Admission through TS EAMCET 2024

Some of the major guidelines that must be kept in mind regarding Management Quota (Category-B) B.Tech Admission through TS EAMCET 2024 are listed below:

  1. Admission Notification: The TSCHE or respective college management will release a notification indicating the availability of Category B seats and the guidelines for admission. This notification will contain important dates, eligibility criteria, and other relevant details.
  2. Application: Eligible candidates need to submit their applications for Category B seats as per the guidelines provided in the notification. The application process may involve filling out an online or offline application form, providing necessary documents, and paying the prescribed application fee.
  3. Merit List: After the completion of the application process, a merit list is prepared based on the eligibility criteria and other factors specified in the notification. The merit list may consider factors such as the candidate's TS EAMCET rank, academic performance, category (if applicable), and other criteria as specified.
  4. Counseling: Candidates who are shortlisted based on the merit list will be called for TS EAMCET 2024 Counselling and further selection process. The counselling process involves document verification, seat allotment, and payment of the admission fee.
  5. Seat Allotment: The allocation of Category B seats is typically done through a centralized counselling process or by the respective college management. The seats are allotted based on the candidate's rank in TS EAMCET, choices filled by the candidate, availability of seats, and other relevant factors.
  6. Reporting to the College: After the seat allotment, candidates need to report to the allotted college within the specified time frame, submit the necessary documents, and complete the admission formalities.

Documents Required for Category-B BTech Admission through TS EAMCET 2024

The list of documents that must be kept ready for Category-B BTech Admission through TS EAMCET 2024 is as follows:

  • Copy of the SSC/X-Class Marks Memo
  • Copy of the Intermediate (long Memo)/XII-Class Marks Memo
  • Bonafide Certificate(s) from VI to XII-Class.
  • Community Certificate
  • Copy of Equivalence Certificate for the Qualifying Examination (other than Intermediate) issued by the Board of Intermediate Education
  • Copy of the JEE Mains 2024 Hall Ticket and Rank Card (If applicable)
  • Copy of TS EAMCET 2024 Hall Ticket and Rank Card(if applicable)
