Candidates who want to complete their design course by entering between the courses can now easily apply through the lateral entry system. Lateral entry or side entry has become common for students who have either completed their diploma or degree in the related field to further opt for higher education. Graphic Design and Web Design are often regarded as the same by many students, however, there are significant differences between the two. Both of these are also popular specialisations of design and are distinct individually. Students may find both graphic and web design as similar because of the overlapping of skills.
