Can a non-Goa candidate take GCET 2023? Goa is home to some of the top engineering colleges in India and so, each year, thousands of aspirants apply through the various entrance examinations that offer B. Tech seats in these institutes. The GCET (Goa Common Entrance Test) is one such popular and important examination. It is a state-level entrance test conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Goa, for admission to the best engineering colleges in Goa. Following the release of the GCET 2023 Result, the exam authority conducts state-level counselling to offer seats to qualified candidates based on their GCET scores and ranks. However, one common query that many students often come up with is whether or not candidates belonging to other states are eligible to apply for admission to the GCET 2023 participating institutes. Admission Process Through GCET for Other State Candidates
The admission process through Goa CET 2023 for non-Goa candidates is the same as for those who are residents of the state. The admission is done through GCET Counselling 2023 in stages which include online registration, choice filling and locking, document verification, seat allotment, and reporting to the allotted institute. It is to be noted that the seats are allotted on the basis of availability, as well as the candidate’s GCET scores, ranks etc.

Non-Goa candidates who qualify for the GCET 2023 exam must register online through the official portal of DTE – www.dte.goa.gov.in.
Application Form Fill-up and Fee Payment
Registered candidates can access and fill out the online application form and pay the requisite fee.
Document Verification
Candidates must visit the allocated centre with their original documents and photocopies for verification.
Merit List
The merit list of all shortlisted candidates based on GCTE scores 2023 will be released by the Directorate of Technical Education, Goa.
Seat Allotment
On the basis of GCET rank and choices filled in by applicants, seats will be allotted to all candidates.

Is there any reservation quota for non-Goa candidates?
