Has there been any change in the CLAT exam pattern?

Yes, the Consortium of the NLUs has changed the exam pattern of CLAT. The exam pattern of CLAT comprises the total number of questions, total marks, time duration, marking scheme, the number of questions section-wise, exam timing, etc. The questions have been reduced in the UG exam to 120 instead of 150. 

What is the marking scheme of the CLAT?

The marking scheme of the CLAT remains unchanged. For every correct answer to the multiple-choice questions, students will be awarded one mark. For wrong answers, -0.25 marks will be deducted. The questions that will remain unanswered or unattempted will be considered 0. 

 

How many papers are there in the CLAT?

CLAT consists of a single question paper consisting of 120 questions divided into five sections as per the weight assigned to each. In CLAT General knowledge and legal reasoning have the highest weight at 25%, English and logical reasoning have a weight of 20% each, while quantitative techniques have a 10% weight.
