CLAT 2025 counselling commenced on December 9, 2024. The round 1 seat allotment list will tentatively be declared on December 26, 2024. Students selected have to pay the seat confirmation fee to the Consortium as per the schedule.

About CLAT 2025 (Counselling Open)

The CLAT 2025 counselling process is open. As per a recent judgment of the Delhi High Court, there may be changes in the seat allotment schedule. As per the current calendar, the seat allotment list for round 1 counselling will be launched on December 26, 2024. Those selected per the first allotment list must pay the confirmation fee to Consortium for Freeze and Float options and admission between December 26 and January 4, 2024.

Previously, the online registration for the counselling process ended on December 20, 2024, while the CLAT 2025 results and the final answer key were issued on December 7, 2024. CLAT 2025 was held on December 1, 2024, from 2 to 4 pm. 

CLAT is a national-level law entrance exam conducted annually in offline mode (pen and paper-based). Through this exam, candidates are offered admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law courses such as five-year integrated BA LLB, BBA LLB, BCom LLB, BSc LLB and LLM. Apart from NLUs, several other Government law colleges in India accept CLAT scores. The examination is a comprehension-based paper where an individual's legal aptitude, skills, and knowledge are tested. CLAT scores are also accepted by top institutes such as NMIMS-Mumbai, UPES Dehradun, Institute of Law, and Nirma University Ahmedabad.
