CLAT 2025 exam date has been released by the exam conducting body and the registration process has also begun. The exam will be conducted on December 1, 2024.

  • It is very important for the candidates to reach the exam venue one hour before the reporting time in order to complete all the formalities. Reaching late to the exam center may lead to missing out on the exam completely.
  • Due to exam pressure, it has been often observed that candidates forget to carry their admit card and identity proof. Candidates must note they will not be allowed to sit for the exam without these essential documents.
  • Candidates have to mandatorily follow the dress code prescribed by the official exam conducting body. Any kind of clothes which have a lot of pockets or places wherein any kind of cheating material could be hidden will not be allowed in the exam center.
  • Further, carrying any kind of prohibited items, such as smart watches, laptops, books, or any kind of cheating material will lead to disqualification from the exam.
  • Furthermore, not following the basic exam day, instructions and creating nuisance around the exam center will lead to cancellation of candidature or other serious repercussions.

Arriving late at the test centre - CLAT authorities will provide the CLAT 2025 exam schedule, typically with reporting starting at 1 pm. To prevent last-minute issues, candidates should aim to arrive by 12:30 pm.

Omitting essential documents - It is crucial for test-takers to carry the CLAT 2025 admit card and a valid photo ID. This includes additional certificates, such as Scribe approval for PWD candidates.

Avoid last-minute reading - Refrain from studying material until the last moment, disregarding peers who may be reviewing notes at the exam centre. Trust your preparation and maintain confidence.

Neglecting exam instructions - Listen attentively to invigilator instructions upon entering the exam hall to avoid errors when providing required details.

Careless reading of questions - Rushing through questions without careful reading is a common CLAT exam day mistake. Thoroughly read each question and its options to prevent misunderstandings and incorrect answers.

What is the exam pattern of CLAT?

The CLAT UG exam pattern has changed. The exam will be conducted for 2 hours time duration with 120 multiple-choice questions instead of 150 questions with one mark each. For each incorrect answer, 0.25 points will be deducted. However, the CLAT PG exam pattern is still the same. 

 

How should candidates prepare themselves a week before CLAT?

As part of the last week of preparation before the CLAT exam, every year,  aspirants must focus on a thorough revision of each topic. Revise only those portions that you have prepared in the last few months because starting a new topic now will make you nervous and you will tend to forget already well-prepared portions.

 

Can I carry a water bottle during the CLAT exam?

It is advised for the students to carry water bottles on the day of the CLAT exam. The students can carry transparent water bottles (without a label) with them inside the test centre as said by the exam authority. So, the students should carry their own water bottles as the test will be conducted for 2 hours and students can feel nervous. 

 

Can candidates carry mobile phones along with them to the CLAT exam hall?

Candidates can carry their mobile phones but they should be kept outside the CLAT exam hall with their own responsibility. The officials in charge of the CLAT exam will not provide any facility to deposit mobile phones, bags, books or headphones of the candidates. The students may be allowed to keep their belongings inside the test centre but the officials won’t be responsible for the loss of items.

 

Which important documents need to be carried to the CLAT exam hall?

The most important document that should be carried to the CLAT exam hall is the CLAT admit card. Other than the admit card, candidates should also carry their ID proof, otherwise they won’t be able to appear for the exam. PwD candidates (Scribe approval) or students who have to show certificates to sit for the exam must bring the relevant certificates with them.
