FAQs

Does CTET have negative marking?

Negative marking is not included in the CTET 2023 exam. For each question that is answered correctly, candidates receive one mark; incorrect or skipped questions do not affect this total. The 'no negative marking' rule was implemented because the CTET is an eligibility test and not a recruitment test. Because there is no negative marking in the exam, applicants cannot be penalised for selecting the incorrect response. For the CTET exam, it is advised that applicants concentrate on answering as many questions as they can in order to get a good score. It's crucial that applicants refrain from speculating and answer questions accurately.

What is the scope after scoring the CTET passing marks?
