Aspirants must meet the eligibility requirements before appearing for any BEd entrance exam 2025. The common eligibility criteria to pursue a BEd from any university are as follows:

  • Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree such as a B.Sc course (Bachelor of Science), Bachelor of Arts (BA)BE course (Bachelor of Engineering), B.Tech course (Bachelor of Technology) etc. from an established university.
  • B.Ed aspirants aiming to get admitted to a B.Ed college need to score at least 50% in their UG programme. The minimum percentage is not fixed for all colleges, it may vary according to the college/ university. Some universities might want students to have scored 55%. 
  • Apart from bachelor’s degree holders, candidates who have completed their master’s degree in Science, Commerce, Engineering or Arts can also appear for BEd entrance exams only if they have scored at least 50% or above. 
  • The candidates who will be appearing for the B.Ed entrance exams should be 19 years old.

What does the English Language section consist of in AP EDCET?

Part A of the question paper consists of the English Language section. The English Language section of the AP EDCET examination consists of topics such as Reading Comprehension, Correction of Sentences, Articles, Prepositions, Tenses, Vocabulary, Synonyms, Antonyms, Complex & Compound Sentences, Voice Change, and Direct and Indirect Speech. 

What are the requirements to appear for the AP EDCET entrance examination?

As of 2022, the students who have appeared for the AP EDCET examination must be Indian nationals and meet the local/ non-local status criteria in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The candidates should have completed a BA/B.Sc/B.Com/BBA/BCA degree or have a PG degree with at least 50% marks (for the General category) and 40% (for SC/ST category).

Who conducts the Rajasthan PTET examination?

Government Dungar College Bikaner conducts the Rajasthan PTET examination every year to offer admission into the 2 or 4-year B.Ed programme offered by the teaching institutes in the Rajasthan state. The examination is held offline, i.e pen and paper-based mode. In 2022, the Rajasthan PTET examination was conducted by Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur.

Is there any upper age limit for the CG Pre B.Ed entrance exam?

For General category candidates, the upper age limit is 30 years while for Reserved category candidates, it is 33 years. For the CG Pre B.Ed entrance examination, the candidates need to follow the minimum age requirement set by the examination board. Candidates must be 20 years old when they are applying for the entrance exam. 

What is the exam pattern of the B.Ed entrance exams?

Most of the B.Ed entrance exams are split into two sections: Paper I and Paper II.
