The minimum marks needed for getting recruited as a Trainee Law Officer in NHPC are set by the CLAT authorities. Eligibility Criteria of the NHPC Recruitment through CLAT 2023

The minimum eligibility criteria of NHPC CLAT Recruitment is given below for candidates to take a look. Candidates who will not satisfy the criteria will be disqualified from further rounds of the admission process.

  • The applicant must have a full-time, regular graduate-level degree in law. Both 3 years LLB and 5 Years integrated LL.B degrees are accepted for recruiting candidates for NHPC.
  • Candidates should pass the undergraduate degree with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks or its equivalent grade.
  • The graduation level degree that candidates should complete must be from a recognized Indian Institute/ University that has been acknowledged by BCI.
  • The age of the candidate must not exceed 30 years till 1st October 2022.

How to Apply for NHPC Recruitment through CLAT 2023?

Only candidates who have appeared for the CLAT PG examination are eligible to participate in the NHPC recruitment application process. Applicants need to have a valid registration number and can only apply for the post of Trainee Officer (Law). If an individual has an invalid CLAT application number, his/her form will be rejected automatically. Mentioned below are the steps through which you can apply for the NHPC CLAT recruitment process.

  • Candidates have to log in to the official website of NHPC.
  • Click on the option that says ‘Apply Online’.
  • Read all the instructions mentioned on the website.
  • Enter all the required information carefully and correctly.
  • Upload all the scanned documents in a separate space provided in the online application form and submit it.
  • Take the printout of the form/ slip for future reference.

Note: The scanned documents must be between 100 KB to 200 KB in either PDF or JPEG format. The passport-sized coloured photograph and signature must be in JPEG format of less than 23 KB size and 15 KB size respectively.

Documents Required for NHPC Recruitment through CLAT 2023

The scanned copies of certificates should be readable otherwise, the candidature shall be treated as rejected. The documents that need to be scanned and submitted are as follows.

  • Secondary School Certificate/Matriculation as proof of date of birth.
  • Complete set of certificates/mark sheets in support of qualification of class X, class XII, Graduation and Post Graduation (if applicable).
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Disability certificate issued by the competent authority (if applicable). 
  • Certificate from the Principal stating that the candidate has passed the course on a regular/full-time basis (except AMIE) certified by the Institution/ University from where they have obtained the graduation / post-graduate degree. 
  • A certificate for the conversion of CGPA/ Grades to the percentage of marks shall be based on the procedure certified by the Institution/ University from where the concerned has obtained the graduation level degree.
  • Copy of the CLAT 2023 Registration Form/Admit Card.

Note: No application fee is required while applying for Trainee Officer (Law) NHPC Recruitment through CLAT.

Selection Process of NHPC Recruitment through CLAT 2023

The selection process of NHPC Recruitment through CLAT 2023 is stated below.

  • It is important to qualify the cut-off set by the CLAT authorities. In case of absence of the qualifying CLAT marks, the unreserved category has to secure 40% marks while the reserved candidates have to acquire 30% marks.
  • Those who qualify the previous stage move to the next stage where they have to either appear for an interview or a group discussion.
  • Students will be finally selected on the basis of their overall performance, i.e. based on the academic, CLAT result and personal interview/group discussion round.

To attempt CLAT PG questions, read the instructions carefully and follow them properly. There should not be any symbols or signs on your OMR sheet, as this may lead to the rejection of the answer sheet. Try to complete the exam on time and revise your answers. Cross-check your answers from the question paper. In case, you have marked a wrong answer and want to correct it, use a whitener. Do not strike through the wrong circle or make a line over it, or even try to tear it, instead use a whitener.
