CEED 2024 Exam Analysis

The CEED 2024 design entrance exam, which lasted three hours, was divided into two parts. Part A, conducted online, had to be completed in one hour, while Part B, taken offline, required two hours. Part A consisted of three types of questions: Numerical Answer Type (NAT), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). Part B featured a single question that needed to be solved on paper. According to the candidates and exam experts, the overall difficulty of the CEED 2024 exam was moderate. Most students found Part B to be relatively easy.

CEED 2024 Answer Key

The CEED 2024 Answer Key was released online on January 23, 2024. Initially, the draft keys for Part A were published, and students could access their responses through a login process. Candidates had the opportunity to raise objections to the answer key through the candidate portal until January 25, 2024. The final answer key was then released on February 1, 2024, in PDF format. After the objection period ended, the authority released the final answer key. This allowed candidates to estimate their scores before the official results were declared, though only the result marks would determine the final performance in the exam.

CEED 2024 Result

Candidates could access the CEED 2024 result online, which was released on March 6, 2024, by the official authority. The results, comprising Part A and B, were available along with the answer key. To download their results, candidates needed to log in using their credentials. Additionally, the CEED 2024 Scorecard, necessary for admission, was also published. Candidates could download their scorecards between March 11 and June 12, 2024.

CEED 2024 Cutoffs

IIT Bombay announced the Part A cutoff marks for CEED 2024 on February 8, 2024. These cutoffs are presented using mean and standard deviation metrics, with Part A having a mean score of 41.90 and a standard deviation of 16.72. For CEED 2024, there are two distinct cutoffs:

  • Part A CEED Cutoff: This marks the minimum score required in Part A to qualify for the shortlist. It is important as it determines whether the candidate's Part B answers are evaluated. Based on previous trends, the tentative cutoff percentages for Part A are:
    • Open category: 10%
    • OBC-NCL: 9%
    • SC/ST/PW: 5%
  • Admission CEED Cutoff: This cutoff is determined by participating institutes, considering factors like application numbers, merit ranks, seat availability, and candidate categories. The admission cutoff will be disclosed during the seat allotment process.

CEED 2024 Counselling

There is no centralized/common counselling for the CEED exam . Candidates had to apply individually to the institutes of their choice. Only those who qualified could proceed with their applications. Eligibility needed to be checked first, followed by an online application. Shortlisted candidates were invited for a Personal Interview. Admission was granted upon submission of fees and verification of required documents. It was essential for shortlisted candidates to bring photocopies and originals of necessary documents for verification.
