The institute conducts the IIAD entrance exam for 200 bachelor and 40 master-level seats. For the bachelor-level design, an iDAT (Design Aptitude Test) along with a studio simulation round is held while for the fashion business management courses, there is an iMAT (Management Aptitude Test) followed by a personal interview round.   • Graduates who have completed education from a recognised institute/ university can apply.

  • The IIAD 2024 Entrance Exam test has two sections (iDAT).
  • Logical reasoning is covered in Section A, and creative thinking and problem-solving are covered in Section B.

Are iDAT and iMAT part of the IIAD Entrance Exam?

Yes, iDAT and iMAT are parts of the IIAD Entrance Exam. However, candidates do not have to appear for both tests. The exam completely depends on the programme chosen by the applicant. For instance, an individual who has opted for B.A. (Hons) Communication Design has to only appear for an iDAT test while an individual who has selected B.A. (Hons) in Fashion Business Management has to sit for the iMAT exam.
