NID DAT Interview Round : Only after a student has cleared the NID DAT Prelims, will they be allowed to sit for the NID DAT Mains exam. Under the DAT Prelims, the students are tested on their theoretical knowledge and their aptitude and sketching skills regarding designing are tested. Students who qualify for the DAT Mains must take a studio test and clear the NID DAT Interview Round. The NID DAT Exam dates are out now. The DAT Interview will be held from March 3 to April 6, 2025. The NID DAT Exam Pattern clearly lays down that under the NID Mains section, students will be required to undergo a studio test and clear the interview round. This interview round will assess a student’s communication skills, their confidence while answering questions and much more. Here is a brief of what happens during the NID DAT Interview Round:

Interviewees are usually asked to showcase their portfolios in front of the interview panel and then questions with regards to their backgrounds, achievements, and the reasons for which they wish to study at the National Institute of Design are asked.
The interview lasts for 45 minutes wherein the interviewees are asked questions as a part of a rapid-fire round.
