The College has a very enriched library to support the academic need of students and teachers. Nearly 25000 books of different disciplines are the treasure of this library. Students and teachers explore this library on regular basis. Adjoining sprawling reading room with separate sitting arrangements for students and teachers is the additional attraction for this library. The library is maintained by scientific accession system of books and it is going to be computerized very soon. Out of the total collection in library, 65% are text books and the rest are reference books. Besides, there are many periodicals and journals in the library collection. The College got the affiliation from Calcutta University to start Science subjects at bachelor degree level in the year 1980. Presently General degree course is offered by the college in six science subjects namely – Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany and Anthropology. Of them, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany and Anthropology are laboratory based subjects. All these departments have well equipped and well furnished modern laboratories. The Zoology, Botany and Anthropology laboratory have some rare and unique collections that are pride of the college. About 25 students can carry out their experiments simultaneously in these Laboratories. In Arts subjects we have Laboratories in the departments of Education, Geography and Physical Education also. Separate common rooms for girls' and boys' equipped with indoor games are present in the college campus.
