In the academic year 2001–2002, Dhanlakshmi College of Engineering, Chennai, was established under the supervision of Dhanlakshmi Education Trust. The college has developed into a renowned hub for technology and engineering education. The institute aims to give students a high-quality technical education that will help them become competent professional engineers. The AICTE has approved DCE Chennai, which is connected to Chennai's Anna University. Four programmes have ISO 9001:2008 certification and NBA accreditation. The College placed seventh in the university test and eighth in Tamil Nadu for infrastructure and facilities. Departments of Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Application, Science and Humanities and Business Administration are available at Dhanlakshmi College of Engineering. In the academic year 2013-14, a total of 212 students were placed in the top companies through DCE Placement. The Facilities provided by DCE Chennai are Library, Hostels, Seminar Halls, Auditoriums, Festivals and Events: College Day and Sports Day.
