University of Madras admissions are offered to numerous courses like diploma, certificate, and PG courses, such as MBA, M.Tech, MCA, M.Com, MA, MD, and more, in a variety of disciplines including Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Commerce, Management, and Medicine. The university has a total of 89 Departments and 19 Schools, covering diverse streams of education. Admission at Madras University is offered on the basis of merit as well as entrance exam performance. For courses like MBA and MCA, the TANCET exam is accepted whereas for other courses like B.Arch, national-level entrance exams like NATA are accepted. University of Madras Selection Criteria for PG Courses
- Selection Criteria for PG Courses: Admission to the PG courses at Madras University is offered on the basis of merit in the last qualifying exam. For admission to MBA & MCA courses, candidates must appear and qualify for the TANCET 2024 exam.
- Counselling Process: MBA & MCA aspirants will have to appear for a personal interview round for MBA & MCA admission after they have qualified for the TANCET exam.
- Confirmation of Seat: Candidates who successfully clear all rounds of admission must pay the prescribed course fee to confirm their seat and secure admission to the Madras University.
