VIT Pune Admission 2024 - Dates, Form, Online Process, Fees

VIT Pune admission to BTech course in 2024 is expected to be conducted between July and August 2024 when the MHT CET counselling process will be conducted. Students interested in BTech admission must score well in the MHT CET 2024 exam. For B.Tech admission, MHT CET and JEE Main scores are considered. M.Tech admission is done based on GATE scores. VIT Pune admissions are done for BTech specializations like Telecommunication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Power Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Instrumentation Technology, and Production Engineering.

VIT Pune Selection Criteria for Diploma Courses

• Candidates have to submit the VIT Pune application process.
• Admission to the PGD programme is based on the merit of the last qualifying exam.
• Shortlisted candidates have to get the documents verified and pay the course fee.

VIT Pune Selection Criteria for UG Courses

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) from a recognized board. 
• The mandatory subjects are Physics and Mathematics, along with one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or a technical/vocational subject.
• Alternatively, candidates with a diploma in Engineering and Technology with at least 50% marks are also eligible.
• Candidates must appear for the MHT CET (for Maharashtra state candidates) or JEE Main (for all India candidates).
• Further, they have to participate ​in MHT CET counselling for seat allocation.
• The last stage of VIT Pune admission process includes verification of documents and fee payment.

VIT Pune Selection Criteria for PG Courses

• Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field with at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination and qualifying marks in the GATE 2024 Exam.
• BCA/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent and acquired at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination along with MAH MCA CET scores.
• Next candidates have to participate in the CAP counseling for VIT Pune admissions.
• Seats are allocated during the counselling process.
• Subsequent to the seat allocation candidates have to complete the documentation process and pay VIT Pune fees.

VIT Pune Selection Criteria for PhD Courses

• Admission to the PhD programme is based on VIT Pune PhD Entrance Test (PET).
• Candidates with GATE/ NET/ GPAT/ SET/ JRF/ SRF scores are exempted from the PET test.
• Shortlisted candidates have to appear for an interview.
• Final shortlisting is done on the basis of marks secured in the entrance and performance in the interview.

1. As per the BTech Admission Process in VIT Pune, candidates should be eligible for the course which states they should pass class 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject.
2. Appear for an entrance examination like MHT CET or JEE Main.
3. Fill out the VIT Pune Application Form 2024 from the official website registering with necessary details like personal details, academic details, and entrance exam details.
4. Candidates have to upload necessary documents like photographs, signatures, and other relevant certificates.
5. Pay the VIT Pune Application Fee online.
