Overall: I’m an 2nd year Student of GEC Raipur and as of my perspective according to fees and other things this college would definitely stand stronger above many private colleges and other 2 government engineering colleges as well.
Placement: Placement rate has dropped down in GEC Raipur after the Covid but it definitely has well deserving students, on campus placement rate is very low nowadays so majority of the students try for off campus placements to get better opportunities.
Infrastructure: In terms of infrastructure it’s not as good as other private colleges but you can have better exposure because in GECR a Lab was founded by a company called Nasscom which has high end systems to work with sponsored by the Nasscom
Faculty: In Government Engineering College Raipur there are many professor’s and assistant professors and they well interactive and highly educated as well the professors are always ready to help the students and provide guidance to them
Hostel: In GEC Raipur there are 2 hostels Named as Castle ENA (Boys Hostel) and Castle Dio(Girls Hostel) as of now the both hostels were occupied by IIT Bhilai but they are gone now so after some time both the hostels will be provide to the students of GEC Raipur
