IMI Kolkata PGDM : Fees, Courses, Eligibility & Admission 2024

Overall: As a first year student, my typical day is mostly filled with a number of exciting and challenging activities. With a typical day starting around 8 AM, my activities for the day starts with hitting the gym, approximately for half an hour. The classes start typically around 9 AM, after breakfast, and continue till 12:30 PM. After a one hour gap to rejuvenate, have lunch, and chat with friends, the classes resume around 1:30 PM. After back to back interactive and exciting brainstorming sessions in the class with our esteemed faculties, we call it a day. After having delicious snacks and some fun time with friends, some prefer playing games like cricket, badminton, table tennis, pool, and others prefer going to their self-study. The rest, stay in the lounges to do group study, or to have meeting with their respective clubs or committees. Be it group study, or assignments, exam prep, or important duties of Committee and clubs. Our lives keep going the whole city sleeps. One of the special mentions would the the LBA/NVD program IMI Kolkata has. The program is one of the USPs of IMI Kolkata In local Business Accelerator (LBA) program) Each student is assigned to a company where they are going to give us tasks. There are 6 credits allotted to the program. New Venture Development (NVD) is a program where you will be working on an original idea which you'll have to think, basically like making your own startup. I learned how to do market research, pricing, segmentation, targeting, positioning, and so on.

Placement: International Management Institute(IMI), Kolkata offered highest placement of 20.38 LPA, and an average of 12.02LPA, and a median package of 12.48LPA. The summer internship program (SIP) also offered a stipend of 1 lakh and an average of Rs. 50,500. Companies like Cognizant, Amul, Coca-Cola, Tata Steel downstream products, TVS, WIPRO, KPMG, Nestle, Dabur, Eveready and so on came for placements and SIP.

Infrastructure: The classes are equipped with all facilities like projectors, mic, podium, charging ports for laptops, IT department for helping in all problems related to IT, admissions office, placement office, Incubation Center, library, bloomberg lab, and what not. You just need to think about studies and the rest will all be taken care of.

Faculty: The faculties are highly experienced, and they teach us in such a way that if you listen and follow classes properly, you can just study before exam and do good. Also make sure you focus on the assignments, make sure you do them by yourself. This will help you in understanding your subject much better.

Hostel: The hostel is full of amenities. There are total 6 type of rooms available: Dual accommodation without AC, Dual accommodation with AC in Academic Block (only for boys, Academic block is newly built, it has a spacious lounge with home theatre, The rooms AC are centralized), Dual Accommodation with AC, Single Accommodation without AC, Single Accommodation With AC and With Attached Washroom. Those who don't have attached washrooms, 8 bathrooms are available on each floor for boys and girls separately. CCTV is available with audio and facial recognition, male and female security guards are there always around the clock. Superintendent/ Hostel super, is available round the clock and the the PGDM applies very strict rules for everyone when it comes to hostel related affairs. There is a Veg and a Non-Veg mess, washing machines, dryer, Kent RO water purifier, Lounges in all floors with TV and AC, Pool Room. There is an online portal for lodging any kind of infrastructure related complaints and they are attended within 24hrs.

Overall: Experience of mine in this college was good.I've got some good friends some well.Qualified teachers who motivated us and helped us in each and every step

Placement: If I talk about placement facility given by this institute.I can say that it is very average.Not all the student got placed , only thirty to forty percent of the student got placed every year , which is very bad

Infrastructure: If I talk about infrastructure of our institute I can say that buildings were creatively made.It was restricted for outsiders to enter into the institute and yes playing area and libraries and cultural activities area over there

Faculty: Best part of this institute is that faculties who are working here are really well qualified.Well knowledgeable and headstudents and motivate students eating each and every step of their college life

Hostel: Best part of hostel is that Clealiness This is maintained by staff.Staff is really good food.Served here was of nice quality.It was restricted to outsiders to enter into the hostel area

Overall: this college was education is very good and professional this college this college staff is very helpful and godd service for all students all education was good

Placement: Placements here are said to be 100% and from what I've seen here, my seniors are getting placed in good reputed companies with good packages. Apart from this the placement department conducts seminars where industry experts come and give their insights on various topics, one on one sessions with experts are held where they prepare you for your placements interview.

Infrastructure: At IMI, Kolkata, you will be introduced to a diverse group of students for a truly holistic learning experience. Students come from varied educational and work backgrounds. Faculty: Faculties at IMI, Kolkata are graduates from IITs and IIMs and they go beyond the traditional academics to prepare students for the dynamic business world, they will try to create a business world like environment in the class itself, with the help of case studies, simulations, or other class activities like roleplays. Other than this they will mentor you in Local Business Accelerator program where you will be working with a business for a period of 6th months, other part of this is New Venture Development where you will try to start your own business with inception of an idea to its execution , throughout all of this the faculties will be guiding you and help you face any problems. Additionally, IMI, Kolkata's faculty actively contribute to academic discourse by publishing research papers in high-impact journals. This enriches the academic environment and exposes students to the latest developments. The Mentor-Mentee programme and faculty research activities foster well-rounded professionals and active participants in academic conversations, enhancing the overall educational experience.

Hostel: I was somewhat skeptical about living in hostel but IMI has changed my mind because facilities, the crowd and everything make sure that you don't feel homesick, you will be engaged in birthday parties that you can hold in hostel lounge, apart from this the hostel rooms are cleaned daily by the cleaners, your hostel rooms include a wardrobe, a comfy bed, a study table and lamp, a cupboard and AC and also fans. You will soon find yourself enjoying with your friends like a family where they will be helping you through thick and thin.

Overall: IMI Kolkata is probably one of the best institutes where management aspirants can learn and master the different aspects of management courses. Excellent learning environment and best teaching facilities.

Placement: The placement cell makes all the necessary arrangements to bring in reputed and leading companies for campus placement with excellent salary packages.

Infrastructure: The college campus is well maintained and equipped with all the facilities that a student needs. Plus, the campus is regularly cleaned to cater a nice and pleasant environment for students as well as visitors.

Faculty: All the professors are extremely helpful and are ready to assist students in their academic issues. They are even ready to give one-on-one classes for students who need extra help.

Hostel: The rooms are well furnished with all the required amenities like AC, heater, and WIFI. The food served is good but still miss all the home-cooked meals.

Overall: The best thing about IMI Kolkata is it teaches various specialisations with equal excellence. The alumni of this college are well established and the academic records of IMI Kolkata are remarkably good.

Placement: Some of the top recruiters like IBM, ITC, Kent, Infosys, and ICICI Bank visit our college campus during the placement drives. Students with good marks and good performance in the interviews can expect good job offers.

Infrastructure: The infrastructural aspect of IMI Kolkata is not bad. The academic buildings and campus are well maintained and have all the necessary facilities for the students and staff. There are facilities for extracurricular activities also.

Faculty: The students at IMI Kolkata are satisfied with the teaching style of the college. The faculty members share good relationship with the students and offer them academic help.

Hostel: IMI Kolkata has hostel facilities for students. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. The hostel charges are also not really high. You can easily opt for hostel accommodation.

Overall: IMI Is a world-class institution and it offers all the facilities which are desired for advanced study. Students have cooperative faculties, a better learning experience and case study patterns to know the correct approach to problems. IMI Kolkata organises various events and seminars to let their students know about the current scenarios.

Placement: The placement for my batch was successful. The placement cell took great care that each of us was prepared well and placed with the right company. Many good brands like Mother Dairy, PWC, E&Y, ITC and many more were on campus.

Infrastructure: The college boasts perhaps one of the best infrastructures in the area. The institute has a campus that is Wi-Fi equipped and offers good amenities like a large restaurant, rest area, parking lot, pool, single student housing, etc.

Faculty: The academic and industrial experience of the teachers at IMI Kolkata is extensive. In addition to their academic work, students are invited to participate in a variety of industry and academic projects. Presentations, projects, discussions, guest lecturers, and on-stage activities are all part of the course programme.

Hostel: The hostel is one of the best in the country. It has all necessary facilities like air-conditioned visiting lounge, single accommodation, cleaning staff, balconies, AC, Wardrobe facility, gym, common room, 24X7 security, separate wing for girls and boys, modern lift, washing machine, TV etc.

Overall: the college provides good exposure to the overall growth and enhances students' personalities and makes them future-ready. Students are trained for better placement and job opportunities.

Placement: The placement committee of IMI, Kolkata had very good tie-ups with the corporate world, and the committee conducts various workshops on digital marketing and Ms excel which help students to develop their skill sets.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure strikes the ideal mix between development and nature. The campus is covered in a lot of greenery and has modern infrastructure, which guarantees a peaceful atmosphere and top-notch facilities that are ideal for studying and growth.

Faculty: All the professors have given some of the best talks in the nation. They are extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Different teaching methods exist, including PPT delivery, simulation-based classes, and real-world projects.

Hostel: The rooms are tidy and sanitary. The meal at the mess is decent, but it might be better. The canteen is open till 10 o'clock. On the hostel grounds, you can play chess, badminton, volleyball, carrom, and other sports.
