Overall: Not the best, not the worst! A mediocre college with limited facilities available but teachers and authorities are really helpful. If you are preparing for any other exams or aiming for doing something else while continuing a degree, then this college is the one for you. They will not pressure you to attend classes regularly and assignments pressure is also moderate.
Placement: I have no experience regarding placements, after completing the degree they offer no placements, and and if they offer I have no idea about it. But as far as I am aware about placements, they offer just the course not placements. But there are some facilities available like if someone wants to join NCC, they can. Also there are so many useful workshops by college that you can attend to enhance your skills.
Infrastructure: Talking about infrastructure, building is well maintained. There are two buildings, a main one and a new one. The main building has library, canteen and more. I am a geography student and we need computers for practical, but in lab there are limited computers if compared to the numbers of students. Also the lab is not so well maintained. Library is good also has a good ambience for reading but to be honest I am not so satisfied with its collection of books. Not aware about canteen and toilets because I don't use them very often. For classrooms, they are moderate. With enough benches to sit and cupboards to keep stuffs, classrooms are okay. Overall the building is good and near to the main road which leads to the railway station. Also the student union is so helpful, they are willing to help you throughout any problem regarding college and academics.
Faculty: For faculties, I have no issues if it's for geography! For other subjects, I have sometimes talked to the professors and they seemed good and caring. In geography we have total three professors, and all of them are so helpful. I couldn't attend college for a whole semester due to some medical issues, our HoD helped me a lot to accomplish my projects and examination. Also they teach in a friendly way which makes it easy to understand the subject. Also for the general subjects like I had economics and anthropology, they are helpful too.
Hostel: Maximum students in this college are from local area, so they don't have to stay in the hostel also the college is well connected by road and railways. I have never seen a student staying in the hostel of the college, so I am not so sure about it. Also for some important information, nearest railway station to this college is birati college, from here you can get trains to Sealdah, dum dum junction, Barasat junction, bongaon junction, hasnabad junction. And for the bus route, in front of the road which leads to the college, you will get so many buses to Kolkata and barasat.
