Meet Our Founder

Ruchir is the founder and CEO of CollegeDekho, leading the platform since 2015 to become India's largest college discovery, guidance and enrollment service. Coming from a small town in Uttar Pradesh, Ruchir had personally struggled to access information related to higher education and he always thought of solving this problem. He holds a BTech in Mechanical Engineering from VNIT Nagpur and an MBA from the Indian School of Business (ISB) Hyderabad. Before founding CollegeDekho, he worked in leadership roles at Hindustan Times, Birlasoft Limited, IBM, and CSC Information Technology Services.

CollegeDekho is India's largest Higher Education Ecosystem. It was founded by Ruchir Arora (CEO & Co-Founder), who believes that every student, regardless of his or her background must be provided access to high quality college guidance to ensure no dream goes unfulfilled. India has a Gross Enrollment Ratio (GER) in higher education of just 28.3% and at Collegedekho we understand the need for expert, tech-enabled guidance to help more young college aspirants to reach the right college. This becomes even more important because the majority of aspirants are first in their family to even aspire to go to college. With nearly 200 Million website sessions by college aspirants and chosen by nearly 60% of all students of India seeking a private college education in their higher education journey, CollegeDekho guides students to reach the right college and help colleges to teach them better.
