IIT Placements 2024-25 Day 1 to 3: Highest package offered, major highlight

IIT Placements 2024-25 Day 1 to 3: The 2024-25 placement season of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) started on December 1, 2024, and was a feather in the caps for all the campuses such as IIT Madras, IIT Kharagpur, and IIT Kanpur.

The biggest draw for IIT Madras turned out to be Wall Street trading firm Jane Street’s record Rs 4.3 crore offer. The offer includes base salary, bonuses and relocation benefits and is the highest the institute has ever offered. Companies including Microsoft and Goldman Sachs, and firms such as BlackRock, and  Glean had other packages of more than Rs 2 crore and engaged actively in the recruitment process.

IIT Kharagpur too had a good show with more than 800 job offers made. Rs 2.14 crore stood as the highest package with 11 students getting job offers above Rs 1 crore and nine getting international placement. Apple, Google and Microsoft were the major recruiters with different roles, such as software development, finance and consulting.

On its first day alone, 579 job offers were made to students at IIT Kanpur as 523 students got placed through campus placements and Pre Placement Offers (PPOs). It’s interesting that 13 of its students secured international job offers from companies including Microsoft, Google and American Express.

Other IITs like IIT Bombay and IIT Guwahati will follow suit, if the season progresses, with competitive packages and strong employer interest. Overall, their reputation of producing top-notch talent continues to be solidified with these early reports suggesting robust beginnings as these premier institutes go about their placements.

JEE Main Admit Card 2025: The JEE Main 2025 admit card will be released by the National Testing Agency 3 days before the exam day. Therefore, candidates willing to appear for the JEE Main 2025 exam can expect that the authorities will release the JEE Main admit card 2025 on January 19, 2025 for Session 1 exam and on March 31, 2025 for the Session 2 exam. In order to download the JEE Main 2025 admit card, candidates have to login using their credentials, like the JEE Main application number, date of birth, and security pin.
The admit card of JEE Main will comprise of important details pertaining to the JEE Main 2025 like the name of the candidate, father’s name, roll number, date and shift of the exam, venue of the JEE Main exam, signature and photograph of the candidate as uploaded and important instructions. I am not quite aware of Amity University gwalior for b.pharm & placements as Pharmacy is a great career option that has a strong scope with many lucrative opportunities. To be eligible for Amity University, Gwalior's BBA LLB course, you only need to obtain 50% marks in aggregate in 10+2 and for selection, usually, the university conducts an English language test followed by personal interview/GD/extempore. It also conducts a program-based physical/written test/creative test wherever necessary. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Amity selection process has been revised and is now based on video responses to questions posted through a video link. For admission to Amity, Gwalior, you do not need to take CLAT.
