AP Visakhapatnam - Admission 2025, Fees, Courses, Placement, Ranking

Aryabhatta Polytechnic, established on November 13, 2013, is located in Sabbavaram, Visakhapatnam Dist, Andhra Pradesh. AP Visakhapatnam is affiliated with SBTET and is approved by AICTE. The polytechnic college is sponsored by the Sri Lakshmi Ganapathy Educational Society. In terms of AP Visakhapatnam facilities, apart from classrooms, there is a central library and separate accommodation facilities for boys and girls.

AP Visakhapatnam offers diploma courses in different specialisations which are Diploma in Computer Engineering, Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Initially, the college started operating with 300 students in three branches, namely, Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Diploma in Computer Engineering was introduced later. AP Visakhapatnam admission is based on AP Polycet. Prior to that candidates must meet the minimum AP Visakhapatnam cutoff. AP Visakhapatnam fees for diploma courses is Rs 72,000 for three years.

AP Visakhapatnam placements 2023 report has not yet been released. However, records on the official website show that 39 students received placement offers out of which 21 were placed in Foxconn and 18 of them were placed in ZTT. Some of the top AP Visakhapatnam recruiters are Isuzu, Asian Paints, Wipro, Tata Steel, Pfizer, Essar, etc.

Pragati Scholarship

This scholarship scheme is implemented by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and under this initiative over 5,000 scholarships are disbursed every year to meritorious female students who wish to pursue technical education in India. An amount of Rs 50,000 is awarded to the scholarship recipient every year of their study as a lump sum amount for college tuition fees payment, purchase of books, purchase of equipment, purchase of laptops, software, and desktops. • Candidates must be Indian nationals.
• Up to Two Girls per family are awarded the scholarship.
• The total family income of the candidate from all sources must not exceed Rs 8 lakhs per annum.
• The student must be admitted to a diploma course in AICTE approved institutions
• The scholarship will be awarded to students in the first year of their diploma course or second year of their course if admission was secured through lateral entry.

Saksham Scholarship

This scholarship is also an initiative by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and it is aimed at helping differently-abled students pursuing technical education in any of the AICTE-approved institutions. An amount of Rs 50,000 is awarded to the scholarship recipient every year of their study as a lump sum amount for payment of college fees, purchase of computers, books, stationeries, software, equipment, etc. Check the Saksham Scholarship eligibility criteria mentioned below:

• Candidates must be Indian nationals.
• The candidate applying for this scholarship must be having more than 40% disability.
• The total family income of the candidate from all sources must not exceed Rs 8 lakhs per annum.
• The student must be admitted to a diploma course in AICTE approved institutions
• The scholarship will be awarded to students in the first year of their diploma course or second year of their course if admission was secured through lateral entry.
