Overall: overall experience of mine in this institute was nice I have got some good friends, teachers were very helpful in nature and also motivated us in everything. campus was also clean
Placement: this is one of the reason for not selecting this college because placement opportunity in this college is very less as compared to the number of students that this institute consists of. only few companies visits here to take students
Infrastructure: infrastructure or this institute is simple and average, classrooms very clean ,libraries are there and also separate area for playing sports and games were there
Faculty: teachers were the best part of the institute because they are very well qualified and helpful in nature the motivate in each and every step of students life
Hostel: if I talk about hostel facility of this institute I can say that food served here is of good quality, washroom were cleaned every day and Yes best part is it is restricted for outsiders to enter into the Hostel area.
Overall: Banaras Hindu University(BHU) resides at the heart of Varanasi, it's reputation is not shy to none of us. it stands as a beacon of acedemic excellence, nestled in serene green and huge campus which stands in solitude with rest of city but as said in the city's heart, so as soon as you enter or exit the campus you'll get an entire different vibe. University has all the course that you can name from bachelor's to phd, from engineering(iit) to medical(ims) with massive grounds for every faculty and not to forget one of the biggest library you'll find in india. The campus exudes vibrancy and diversity, fostering an inclusive community where students from all backgroung thrive. One thing that you'll find in BHU is the environment of excellence and ambition in terms of their core subject. So, if you really want to study and gain the entire knowledge of your subject matter then BHU is for you. Spending 3 years in BHU, I can tell you that it is the best you can get in terms of educational quality and opportunities mostly academic based, not telling in terms of extra curricular activities which is there but not like DU. Coming to Faculty of Science, you can ask anybody and i mean ANYBODY, BHU's faculty of Science is the best in BHU and among rest of indian universities. This faculty has been designated as Institute of Science. It has all the different department with their own lecture hall, labs, libraries, garden etc. Although if you are not a final year student then you'll take your lecture in Lecture theatre complex (LTC) which is for all students of any Hons. subject and labs in departments. The Courses which you'll get in ISc BHU are gonna be a combination of three subjects out of which one will be your Hons. assigned at the start of the course but you can change it before your final year where you'll only study this subject. The syllabus are carefully designed for each course and if you really study with discipline then you can crack various competitive exams just by studying your course material. In Nutshell, you can come here without any hesitation whatsoever if you are inclined towards acedemia and for science student, i can't emphasize it more, it is one of the best that you can get in India among central universities.
Placement: BHU have a central placement cell which is responsible for internship and placements but packages are not satisfactory for students. Some departments like Statistics and Geophysics have decent placement but as compared to universities like DU where some colleges provide great placements to students, i would say ISc BHU lacks in that department. I have said previously that if you are really into acedemia and want to study your subject matter sincerely with a little touch of ECA then BHU is for you but if you want to crack good placement after this 3 year course, then i would recommend you to go for DU. Most students who pursue bachelor's degree here go for master's which do have great placement, comparable to DU but ofcourse less than IIT, IISc and ISI and i must say due to rigorous academic curriculum here, majority of students do end up in these biggest institutes of India which in turns give you meaningful connections and great alumni network.
Infrastructure: In BHU, in terms of infrastructure, you can't expect very much comparable to big private institute by just spending less than 3000 for a year. Student's of some faculty and department have access to world class facilities like in Faculty of Agricultural Science and Department of Geophysics are among them but not all. I am being completely honest here, Department like Physics are quiet old but only in infrastructure not in facilities, it has all the labs with all the equipment that you'll ever want in your course but seeing the infra, you are gonna get 'sarkari' vibe. Coming to place where you'll spend of your first 2 years which is LTC is quiet recently constructed and is nice compare to departments. One thing that you'll get at every place of BHU is greenery and peace. The campus is designed to inspire innovation and creativity.
Faculty: ISc BHU prides itself on its highly accomplished, distinguished and experienced faculty members who are truly experts in their respective fields. Here majority of professors that you'll find are aged but don't ever think that they don't know about current demands of industries and corporates. Also, as we all know there are always some professors who just show up and change slides and here too are some but very minimal. Most of the professors really want to deliver their knowledge in entirety and are committed to nurturing intellectual curiosity of students. The faculty has rigorous academic curriculum which is complemented by great opportunities for research and experiential learning. Additionally, the university's focus on interdisciplinary studies and industry collaborations prepares students for the challenges of the modern workforce.
Hostel: One of the biggest pros of BHU is that it has large number of Huge Hostels bigger than most of the colleges on india. That being said, if you are not from varanasi and nearby place then there is an almost 100% chance that you are gonna get a hostel unlike many other central universities. Getting a hostel depends on your marks in their entrance examination and distance of university from your home. Coming to life after you've become a resident, here at ISc Science's Hostel fosters a sense of community and camaraderie among students. Although hostel are sarkari type but you will get everything that you want, from playroom to various outdoor playing equipments and most important thing nice food. One thing which you'll find different here is that you won't have to stand in line for food, you just have to show up and sit and they'll give you plate and serve hot food. Also, here hostels changes according to your year of course. For first year you have ramakrishnan hostel and then broacha hostel. In conclusion, residential life is above average.
Overall: I found very study environment here. You will get everything here from study to sports whichever things required in personality building along with study.
Placement: You will get very good placement opportunity here. On doing bsc you will get placement but after completing msc you will get better placements than bsc.
Infrastructure: Institute of Science has very good infrastructure. And now there is renovation going on new building are built here. You will not face any challenge in your study path.
Faculty: Study and sports environment of faculty is very well. Here professors are also very good, their way of teaching is very understable, they are caring towards students
Hostel: Here every hostel environment of Institute of science is very good and hygienic, Every hostel has its own mess and you will get all facilities here. In some hostel canteen facilities is also available.
