Overall: Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCSU), formerly known as Meerut University, is situated in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India. It has consistently worked with students, instructors, support workers, and members of many social groups to produce and offer knowledge of the highest calibre. With its exposure to and connections with people at the national and international levels, it has progressively developed into one of the top centres for complete learning throughout the years. The University is devoted to the task of utilising and cultivating the capacities of young students in order to enable them to carve out suitable spaces for themselves in the contemporary economic world. This is accomplished through the use of cutting-edge infrastructure, well-equipped laboratories, and highly trained and passionate faculty. The university offers various courses through its several departments such as the Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Law and more.

Placement: Chaudhary Charan Singh University placement is very good and the students have done well in the job marketplace and consistently outperformed the norm in terms of their success rates on several national exams. Studio: To produce all types of indoor programmes, the Department has a well-equipped studio with all contemporary equipment, including a camera (Sony PD170), light system, teleprompter etc. Production Control Room (PCR): This space has a digital video switcher, audio mixer, and headphones as well as a contemporary editing area. ENG: There are enough portable cameras for electronic news gathering. The department also has a radio programme production facility or an audio studio. Students receive instruction using the most recent electronic hardware and software in sound editing, mixing, dubbing, anchoring, news reading, and scripting. TV Room: Students have access to a TV room with D.T.H. for the most recent news and information on current events as well as to conduct post-production critical analysis of various shows that are required for practical work. Practical Newspaper: For the students' practical training, the department prints a practical newspaper called "PARISAR". Computer Lab: The software utilised in the area of journalism is installed on the machines in the lab, including Quart Xpress, Coral Draw, and Photoshop. The department offers PhD programmes in the areas where the faculty members are experts. Students who are keen on quantitative research are especially welcome at the university. Faculty members also work with researchers from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez, the United States, IUAC, New Delhi, IIT-R, and other institutions. The department has taken on a significant number of research and development projects from different sponsoring organisations and is active in international partnerships and industrial consulting initiatives.

Hostel: Chaudhary Charan Singh University hostel facility is offered to both boys and girls students at the university. However, students have to follow some rules regarding the hostel accommodation as mentioned below. During the summer break, the students will have to leave the hostels empty for a minimum of fifteen days so that repairs and other maintenance can be made. Dates shall be announced by the wardens. There will be no accommodation offered for diploma and certificate course students. Students are expected to behave impeccably both inside and outside of the dormitories. payment of dues and fees to the hostel, and proper usage of the amenities. When applying for a hostel spot, a candidate must fill out an affidavit and sign a statement agreeing that if they receive a scholarship from the Samaj Kalyan Vibhag of the Uttar Pradesh government as a hosteller but leave the dorm before the end of the academic year, they will have to pay back the difference in funding as soon as it is transferred to their account (including their bank information).
