Chaitanya Deemed to be University was established in the year 1991. It is one of the best deemed-to-be private universities in Warangal, Telangana. On the recommendation of the UGC, the Central Government in November 2019 recognised Chaitanya Degree College (Autonomous) as Chaitanya (Deemed to be University) in accordance with the authority granted by Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. After 2010, only 04 universities (02 public and 02 private), including Chaitanya, were designated as Deemed Universities. The university has been approved by AICTE and the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi. It also has been accredited by NAAC with an “A” grade.
Chaitanya Deemed to be University courses are offered to interested candidates at the undergraduate, postgraduate as well as doctoral levels. All these offered courses are offered to interested candidates in the stream of science, technology, engineering, pharmacy, nursing, optometry, pharmacy, management and more. All these courses are offered in the regular, offline mode to the candidates. Chaitanya Deemed to be University admissions are done both on the basis of merit as well as performance in the entrance exams.
