Government Engineering College (GEC), Raipur B.Tech : Fees, Courses, Eligibility & Admission 2024

Overall: I love my college very much.There is lot of things about my college.It has a lovely campus, tennis court, volleyball, cricket and football ground .Here placement is good.Lecturer are good, Practical classes is fantastic and also smart classes.

Placement: The college is known for it's campus placement. In every year many reputed companies brings here vacancy. So every students got there dream package of salary.

Infrastructure: Our college has more than 4 building of 3 storied.Every building is fully coloured and decorated.Class rooms were decorated with smart gadgets. Benchs are very good quantity.

Faculty: This college is fully famous for faculty.There is every essential facilities for students stuff and teachers.Well decorated washroom specially for girls students.

Hostel: Our college is new so there is no hostel for now but a project is pass for hostels and materials also provided. Soon new hostel will be build and there will be no more disappointed.

Overall: My college experience has been very good. There is also campus placement in college. There are few teachers for computer science but teachers are available for everything else.

Placement: Placement is done on campus, 7-8 companies have come, now recently DRDO has also come, placement is also done but those students focus more on study, they have not got placement on campus.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good, everything is available, there is no problem in anything, the classrooms and buildings of the college are very big.

Faculty: The college faculty is also very good, the sir here motivates us like our brothers and sisters for studies and also gives us tips for job. The breakfast facilities are very good.

Hostel: It is a hostel because of the college, there is no need to stay in the hostel, there are many guest guests nearby, if you do not stay in the hostel then there is no shortage in the hostel facility.

Overall: Here, you can get free GATE coaching with highly engaging and learned faculty, diverse vocational training CAD lab, workshop, BAJA etc... Average CTC in mechanical was 20000 per month. Best part fees is only 20000 per annum with really cooperative staff.

Placement: Do not expect much when it comes to placements as the placement cell has been established recently and are not experienced enough for the same, so it will depend only on your shear knowledge

Infrastructure: It includes workshops, auditorium, canteen, library, playground, canteen, Labs, lush greenery etc.. You can expect somewhere between a mediocre and good experience as far the infrastructure is considered. Being a government college you cannot expect it to provide something exceptional.

Faculty: Faculties are not less than any private college of similar tier, you will get highly engaging and cooperative faculties with wide diverse knowledge and qualification all faculties are either Mtech or PHDs .

Hostel: Earlier hostels were not given to us before 2022 , but now with the establishment of IIT un newai, bhilai the hostel has been alloted to us which is a rain sharing one for both boys and girls, the review I know is from 2022.

Overall: GEC Raipur is newly located in old Dhamtari rd which makes the location in outskirts of city so transportation is quite difficult as there is no such good connectivity between city and College so you have to stay in local pg as hostel is currently underconstruction

Placement: GEC has very low placement statistics as very less no of student have received good package on campus and the placement cell is very lazy to call companies so you have to prepare either for gate or for govt exams for your bright future

Infrastructure: 1st building or block has been dedicated to administrative services 2nd building is for branches ME EEE and basic humanities and this building has quite good infrastructure 3rd building is dedicated to courses like CE CSE & ET&T It looks quite old but having nice infrastructure

Faculty: See it depends on stream to stream I have studied in EEE stream in my branch there are excellent faculties but in CSE scenario is different as heard from my friends

Hostel: Hostel is currently under construction as there are more students and lesser room in previous hostel If you are looking for admission then my friend you have to go for private pg but there is a very good hostel nearby named FOLK RESIDENCY managed by HKM MOVEMENT it has very good facilities in food resting cleanliness etc. A Very good place for studying

Overall: I’m an 2nd year Student of GEC Raipur and as of my perspective according to fees and other things this college would definitely stand stronger above many private colleges and other 2 government engineering colleges as well.

Placement: Placement rate has dropped down in GEC Raipur after the Covid but it definitely has well deserving students, on campus placement rate is very low nowadays so majority of the students try for off campus placements to get better opportunities.

Infrastructure: In terms of infrastructure it’s not as good as other private colleges but you can have better exposure because in GECR a Lab was founded by a company called Nasscom which has high end systems to work with sponsored by the Nasscom

Faculty: In Government Engineering College Raipur there are many professor’s and assistant professors and they well interactive and highly educated as well the professors are always ready to help the students and provide guidance to them

Hostel: In GEC Raipur there are 2 hostels Named as Castle ENA (Boys Hostel) and Castle Dio(Girls Hostel) as of now the both hostels were occupied by IIT Bhilai but they are gone now so after some time both the hostels will be provide to the students of GEC Raipur

Overall: Our collage has give me best moments of my life regarding its study or sports or other cultural activities these moments always remember me . Btw our collage has best infrastructure best faculties and best departments and hods

Placement: Placement was also came in our collage and many students grab this opportunity or placement one of them past few days he got 5 lakh package in raipur .

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good in our collage because of the past years iim and iit bhilai was also located in our campus so its well maintained and its look so good to see the infrastructure of our collage

Placement: If we talk about the placements of Government engineering College Raipur, placements are decent not that high and not that low altho not every student got placements , only the toppers get good placements around 6-7 lpa.

Infrastructure: First of why I choose the gec raipur because in chhattisgarh not all colleges provide good campus,faculty and give you a btech degree in very less fee as compared to other private colleges, it's a good choice for a student who belongs to a middle class family. If your pet percentage is more than 80 you can easily get the CS branch over here . Overall it's a decent college.

Faculty: I am from mechanical branch , from my mechanical branch all the staff , teachers and professors are very good . They explained all the topics very clearly.

Hostel: There is no hostel that belongs to government engineering college Raipur, all the hostels belongs to IIT bhilai, but now IIT has moved it's campus, the process is working to handover the hostel of IIT to Gec
