For admission to the BSc course, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria given below.
Candidate must have received a pass certificate in the final exam of 10 + 2 (Class 12th / Intermediate / HSC) system or an equivalent examination. Candidate must have received passing marks in at least one Board or Pre-University exam.

The eligibility criteria for admission to the PGD course at IHM Kolkata is as follows.
Candidate must have completed their Graduation (Bachelor's Degree Course) from a recognized university.
The graduate degree must have been issued by a recognized university / institute.
Graduates from any stream are eligible to apply for PGD admission at IHM Kolkata.
Candidate must have cleared at least 10 + 2 (Class 12th / Intermediate / HSC) level of education from a recognized board.
Only candidates who are in-service personnel are considered for admission to the skills certification courses offered by IHM Kolkata.
The eligibility criteria for admission to the MSc course at IHM Kolkata is given below.
Candidate must have a BSc degree in Hospitality and Hotel Administration from NCHMCT-IGNOU OR a Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management from a UGC-recognized and AICTE-approved institute.
Candidate appearing in the final year exam of the qualifying degree are also eligible to apply for provisional admission. However, such candidates must have passed all of the papers in the previous years.
Candidates who have received provision admission will be required to submit their bachelor's degree by the deadline provided by IHM Kolkata.
Admission to the MSc course at IHM Kolkata are done on the basis of NCHM MSc JEE exam. The selection criteria is as follows.
The admission of candidates to the MSc course is done on the basis of merit as per marks scored by a candidate in the Joint Entrance Exam.
Allotment of seats is first done through direct admission process.
Any remaining seats are filled through candidates who have appeared in JEE.
To be eligible for admission to the Diploma course at IHM Kolkata, a candidate must meet the following eligibility criteria.
