For admission to the BSc course, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria given below.

• Candidate must have received a pass certificate in the final exam of 10 + 2 (Class 12th / Intermediate / HSC) system or an equivalent examination. Candidate must have received passing marks in at least one Board or Pre-University exam.

• The qualifying examination must have been conducted by a recognized board or council.

The eligibility criteria for admission to the PGD course at IHM Kolkata is as follows.

• Candidate must have completed their Graduation (Bachelor's Degree Course) from a recognized university.

• The graduate degree must have been issued by a recognized university / institute.

• Graduates from any stream are eligible to apply for PGD admission at IHM Kolkata.

• Candidate must have cleared at least 10 + 2 (Class 12th / Intermediate / HSC) level of education from a recognized board.

• Candidate must have a BSc degree in Hospitality and Hotel Administration from NCHMCT-IGNOU OR a Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management from a UGC-recognized and AICTE-approved institute.

Admission to the MSc course at IHM Kolkata are done on the basis of NCHM MSc JEE exam. The selection criteria is as follows.

• The admission of candidates to the MSc course is done on the basis of merit as per marks scored by a candidate in the Joint Entrance Exam.

• Allotment of seats is first done through direct admission process.

• Any remaining seats are filled through candidates who have appeared in JEE.
