IIM Sambalpur Inaugurates First MBA batch for Working Professionals: One of the premier management institutions in the country, IIM Sambalpur inaugurated its first MBA batch exclusively designed for working professionals at its Delhi campus. This new initiative by IIM Sambalpur aims to cater to the growing demands of career-oriented professionals who are seeking to enhance their managerial skills and accelerate their professional growth. The major decision to introduce this specialized MBA program was to provide specialization in Data Science and product management, Innovation, and Startup apart from the functional domain.
Eleven months after the COVID-19 lockdown, IIM Sambalpur has now reopened its campus for the students. The institute has also adopted a set of safety and hygiene guidelines which will be updated from time to time as issued by the government authorities.
IIM Sambalpur was among the first IIMs to come up with the concept of flipped classroom mode of learning, which led to a smooth transition from offline to online classes including exams and admission processes. Now, the first and the second-year students of MBA have begun arriving at the campus in a phased manner. Students facing internet issues and infrastructure issues at home are being given priority to rejoin the campus. Even though the students will be physically present at the campus, they will continue to attend classes in online mode. The decision of resuming the physical classes depends on the circumstances and government guidelines.
Prof Mahadeo Jaiswal, IIM Sambalpur Director has said they will be rebooting the campus in stages and students will be getting back in a phased manner. A strict set of guidelines prescribed by the Government authorities has been issued to all the staff, faculty and students.
