Alumni Association creates bondage between its students and the Institute. Serving as a sweet link, it helps in maintaining a lifelong connection between the Institute and its Alumni. The Association becomes an integral part of the history of the Institute and facilitates in building an image of the Institute. The association also helps in building a bridge between the Alumni and existing students, and the community at large. The association provides support services for the welfare of the Institute as well as its student community. Let this Association of ours fulfill its inherent role.
IPS Cultural Club was formed in September 2010 to promote cultural awareness among young professionals. Cultural values are essential in a good citizen. It revives any nations' history, heritage & traditions. Our Institute foresees IPS family rich in cultural values which not only arouses awareness of tradition & customs but Updates knowledge of Indian cultural heritage among youngsters. The objective of this club is to organize various cultural activities to inculcate the sense of belongingness, team work, coordination & amiability and to enhance the social skills in students besides their professional education. The club organizes the annual cultural fest of the group-VILAY, Introduction Parties, Farewell Party and other cultural events. There is also a student musical band named SPECTRUM formed under the cultural club.
Colorful umbrella of cultural events 2013-14:
The club has organized various events in year 2013-14 to promote Indian culture with the blend of western flavor. In the beginning of the session an Introduction Party "IBTIDA-2013" was organized to welcome new comers and to show off their hidden talents. It was a kaleidoscope of dance, drama, singing, fashion show and Mr. & Ms. fresher round. Another big event that was organized by cultural club was the annual function "VILAY-2014". It was with the competitive spirit among the four colleges of IPS-Group. The student of CTM showed their talent with the full capacity and fervent. The overall trophy was won by CTM team. After that another big show "Technoparv-2014" was organized in the month of April 2014. Cultural events were the part of Technoparv. The participants of all over states came to exhibit variety of dance, songs, bands, singing and DJ night. A star night was organized showing Indian Idol Fame "Ms. Pooja Chaterjee" as a star performer who won the heart of youth by her exotic performance. The last event of the year farewell party "Adieu-2014" was organized. In this cultural events were looked after by cultural club. It was the moment of sharing feelings and getting nostalgic for the students of 4th year.
Theatre is one of the most exquisite of all the arts concerned with the study of humanity. For those who have experienced the thrill of being on stage or performing in any capacity in front of an audience, needn't be convinced about the magic that is theatre. However, many of us have remained deprived of this pleasure owing to different reasons.
To help students groom their personality through this excellent performing art, IPS has set up a Theatre Group comprising the students of all streams and all years. This group organizes theatre workshops, movie workshops, produces plays and stages them. A skit competition on the theme of "Generation Gap" was conducted by the club for the students of various departments of engineering.
A very renowned art director and actor Mr. Shirish Dobhal, who is an alumnus of National School of Drama (NSD) was called to train students and direct plays. Recently the plays staged by him in the campus were:
"Jhuti Khabarein" staged in festive odyssey
On the occasion of annual day, on 6th March 2014 the Theatre club staged a short play "Jhuti Khabarein" criticizing on fake news by electronic media. The play depicted how fake news can create sensation and panic in people's mind which result in many kinds of problem in their lives. Though the play was full human and satire, it ended on a serious note giving a message that the viewers of TV should be conscious enough to handle such kinds of news channels. The play was staged by the students of BE first year and second year. The names are Uttam Kumar, Deeksha Sharma, Kriti Jain, Shivani Mahant, Nishtha Jain, Anil Kumar Yadav, Kapil Jain Dinesh Pathak, Pawan Pal, Rahul Kumar. The play was directed by Uttam Kumar Jha and Divyansh Chaudhary, and it was coordinated by Dr. Vivek Agrawal Head Dept. of Humanities.
The students of engineering hardly get time to go for literary readings. But we understand the importance of literature as it develops sensibility and competence in life skills. Therefore a Literary Club "Abhivyakti" was formed with a view to give an expression to the inner sensitive soul of the budding professionals. The Club was inaugurated on.... A Self Composed Poetry Competition was organizes to mark the occasion and eminent poets from Gwalior were invited to guide the students.
Stories Created by Young Engineers
The literary club organized story writing competition on 18 Nov. 2013 for BE first year students. The completion was held in two sessions. The first session was writing a story based on the displayed still pictures. The participants were given one hour to write a story either in Hindi or English language. The second session was conducted to present the selected stories by the participants. The CAO Mr. P.K. Ghosh, the Principal Mr. P.S. Chauhan, all Hods and faculty members were present on the occasion. The winners were awarded certificates of Honor. The event was coordinated by Dr. Vivek Agrawal, Head Dept. of Humanities and Ms. Deepti Bhargava. The first position was achieved by Aditya Raj Gupta, second position Ms. Kriti Jain and third position was Rahul Chack.
Extempore Speech Competition
Extempore speech shows presence of mind, elocution and knowledge of current affairs. The students of BE 2nd year showed their talent of speech on 12 July 2014 Saturday organized by IPS Literary Club. The programme began with Invocation and Garlanding of Goddess Saraswati. The CAO, Mr. P.K. Ghose, was the Chief guest of the programme. He motivated the students emphasizing such type of activities on regular basis. The head, Dept. of Humanities, Dr. Vivek Agrawal and Ms. Deepti Bhargava guided the students. The Judges of the competition were Prof. Sanjay Kulshrestha , Prof. Pankaj Agrawal and Prof Rajeev Shrivastava.
The winners were awarded by the Certificates. The first prize was received by Ms.Deeksha Sharma and the second prize by Ms. Akanksha Shrivastava. It was coordinated by Mr. Rituraj Sharma and Abhilash Shukla, the students of EE 2nd year and the programme was anchored by Ms. Priyanshi Sharma.
Learning and self-expression are an indispensable part of professional's personality which goes a long way in nurturing the confidence and also open new avenues. Due to globalization English Language occupies a key position in a student's professional growth. To improve the qualities of self-expression in students and to provide them a platform where they can learn naturally, playfully, and without stress with fun the IPS Group has formed an English club. This club organizes many events to groom the student's personality. July 3, 2010 was the momentous day marked by the opening of English Club in the college. The club has organized many events like: "Express Yourself" (power of communication skills), "Think & act" (English Skit competition), "Fun with English" for the faculty members of the college.
Quiz Competition Organized
The English club of IPS - CTM organized an offline quiz competition on 11th Nov. 2013 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the great visionary and the first Education Minister of Independent India. The quiz was based on current affairs and General Knowledge. The students BE first year participated in this quiz. The quiz was incepted by Mr.V.K.Jain., Professor, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering and coordinated by Dr. Vivek Agrawal and Ms. Deepti Bhargava. It was conducted in Finishing school of IPS- CTM. The first position was achieved by Mr. Himanshu Pathak, second position by Mr. Pradeep Tyagi and third by Sudeep Singh Kushwah.
Infrastructure: This college has a good library as well as labs for all practical subjects. They have Wi-Fi connection for the students as well as well-kept classrooms that are neat and clean.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of IPS COLLEGE of technology and management is too much good and the campus area is also very large it had a swimming pool and sports building.
Hostel: Hostel is cool because I know, our some friends live in hostel the food is also good at their and hostel maintained very well after all this I only want to say it's too much good.
