JDT ISLAM Orphanage, founded in the year 1922, is one of the oldest and renowned Orphanages, idealized and formed by intellectual stalwarts, endowed with the spirit of service and dedication to shelter, feed and care for the unfortunate and destitute children, in and around the country, who were the victims of the bygone Malabar Rebellion, in the name of the Almighty, which proved a blessing in disguise for them.The school of Nursing has very good Laboratory facilities for the practical experience. The laboratories include Anatomy& Physiology Lab, Nutrition Lab, Community Health Nursing Lab and Maternal and Child Health Lab. All the laboratories are well equipped with most modern articles and equipments, Models, Chase Dolls and other required utensils to help the students to get good pre–clinical exposure. Besides this Sports and Recreation Lab furnished with all the required items for both the indoor and out door games.The School of Nursing has a library with sufficient study materials of Indian and foreign editions to widen the students knowledge. There are magazines and journals too.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good but regarding the necessary equipments.. It lacks it. The campus is clean and other necessary facilities are also available with a lot of extra curricular activities one can do. Canteen is also nice.
Hostel: Hostel life of the college is memorable. The construction of the hostels are well-maintained, clean, spacious and hygienic also. The food that served in mess is good and healthy. They prepare and serve very hygienicly.
