Overall: Jesus and Mary College (JMC) is one of the best colleges you could get admitted to. The administration and faculty is really helpful. A lot of cultural programs and developmental activities take place to enhance a students ability to grow apart from your specific course knowledge.
Placement: The college has a separate placement cell, where in companies share their job availability for students with specific courses. One can always join this cell and give interviews as they desire. 95% of the students get placed quite easily. And even later if you plan on studying your masters and then look out for a job , just having the tag of JMC plays a significant role.
Infrastructure: Admitting yourself into JMC assures a clean campus which is really huge. You have the canteen (gets Crowded due to an amazing menu), a special garden, open gym, professional gym, football ground, basketball ball and volleyball court too. Not to mention an air-conditioned library with 3 floors. The campus is kept clean around 95% of the times except for when there are programs where students from outside visit so it gets a little hard to have them in control.
Faculty: All the teachers in JMC are disciplined and strict. But motherly love can be assured from teachers of B.A. Programme Department faculty. You can turn to them for any help related to your education, personal life or even college issues. Apart from that, the knowledge they possess is remarkable, if paid attention to during lectures , you can surely score great!
Hostel: There is no hostel facility in the college although near by and around you surely would find PGs that even hus buses to drop and pick you up to and fro (timings need to be adhered)
Overall: I always knew that JMC was a reputed college but I was a bit hesitant because I thought an all girls college would be toxic and a lot of people told me to try to get into a co ed college. But the best thing I did was that I accepted JMC and did not apply for any upgradation. The crowd of the college is amazing (so much better than coed colleges istg). You feel safe, included and no one literally no one will ever judge you. You’re surrounded by ambitious and very talented woman so you might feel a lil dumb but then again this is what pushes you to be the best version of you. It’s a lil strict because it’s a convent college but overall very nice experience so far.
Placement: Since I’m from history department, I’m not very sure about placements but I remember searching about JMC placements and the placements of the college are quite good. It has tie ups with several companies and there’s a whole placement cell dedicated to the same cause in college.
Infrastructure: JMC has one of the best infrastructures in DU. I remember when it was my first day, all I did was gasp at how beautiful the buildings were. So if you’re coming to JMC, you do not need to worry about background for pictures. The whole college is aesthetic (purple wall during winters is a highlight)
Faculty: The facility is renowned. I’m from history department and I can proudly assure that my department has excellent professors. Almost all of them have done their masters from either JNU or abroad.
Hostel: One thing which the college lacks is that it doesn’t provide hostel facilities. Maybe in future, it may provide but not as of now. However, there are a lot of pgs in Satya Niketan (which is a student area and is at a walking distance from JMC)
Placement: In terms of placement it's not that good because the courses offered is Undergraduate level. But if you have the desired skills and you sit for placement you might end up getting placed in companies like Deloitte BCG Accenture and many more.
Infrastructure: The college is spread around 16 acres College building is upto the mark Well maintained The Library is really spacious and has good collection of books. Well furnished 3 floor library attracts students.
Faculty: Faculty is awesome Intact they are more serious than students in terms of education. They impart valuable information and help students to select their desirable fields. Very cooperative and Informative.
