Welcome to the Karve Institute of Social Service Library. The library was originally founded by Late Shri. B.D.Karve, founder of Karve Institute of Social Service in 1963. The library specialises in Family & Child Welfare , Human Resource Management ,Medical Psychiatric Social Work , Urban Rural Community Development, , and is considered to be one of the foremost specialised libraries in the field of social work in Maharashtra. The KINSS Library serves as the Information System in social work education. The Library, as one of the important central facilities of the Institute, supports the study, teaching, research and development programmes of the Institute. It is housed in a separate building having two floors. The information resources have been strengthened by adding a good number of journals and latest books in social work and allied subjects. The library has a collection of 16500+ volumes which includes Text Books, Reference Books and Bound volumes of Journals. The Library subscribes to about 70+ current Journals and National Library and Information Services infrastructure for Scholarly Content (N-LIST) programme online database, the UGC- Consortium from the Inflibnet for the year 2011 by providing the online IP based institutional e-resources access. N-LIST online database consist more than 7000+ journals and 97000+ e-books with online access to students, researchers and faculties. During the period from 8th March 2014 to 5th April 2014 Karve Institute of Social Service ranked in India’s top ten colleges N-LIST users. Library operations have been automated with the help of an integrated library software package, AutoLib. The book database is accessible through OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue). Circulation Services are executed through Barcode System. It is an open access library and remains open from 9 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. on weekdays and extended from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the examination period. The Library has introduced Internet and Wi-Fi facility to facilitate free-flow of information to the users. Special reading room facility is offered for M.S.W., M.Phil, Ph.D.,PGDGMN and PGD-CSR students. Library has a well-equipped xerox, printing and scanning facility. The library has institutional membership with Jaykar library, University of Pune to avail their services.

Dear aspirant…… I am not aware of this exam. I can brief you about LPUNEST. LPUNEST is a national-level entrance test conducted by LPU and is considered for offering scholarships as well as determining Eligibility for admission in various programmes. For some programmes it is mandatory to qualify LPUNEST for getting admission whereas for some the candidate can appear for LPUNEST in case he/she wants to avail certain scholarship. By qualifying LPUNEST you will fulfill one of the eligibility conditions required to take admission to LPU. But to avail scholarship your LPUNEST score must be more than the cutoff at that time . LPUNEST Cutoff is the minimum marks applicants need to attain for admission at LPU. The cutoff is dependent on the number of candidates, number of vacant seats, marks obtained by candidates in the entrance exam cut off of last year. The cutoff is divided into three categories and the shortlisted candidates receive the scholarship based on their marks/cut off category. LPUNEST Exam is conducted in various schedules. Scholarship can be availed in all the Programmes of the University, ranging from Diploma to Ph.D through LPUNEST score, and various other schemes. The aim of conducting the test is to check how far the concepts are clear to the student. The contents of the LPUNEST syllabus are almost similar to your previous qualification. If you have done well in your previous qualification and have a thorough understanding of the concepts covered in the course, then just going once through the topics may help you. The syllabus and format of the paper is different for every course as LPUNEST is purely course specific. The sample papers, duration, format of the paper and marks distribution of LPUNEST for every course is provided in detail at the website. You can refer to the syllabus and sample papers available at this link: nest.lpu.in. So, I suggest you appear in LPUNEST to get maximum benefit even if it is not mandatory for you to qualify as per the eligibility conditions of the course you are interested in. LPUNEST (Test Centre Based Exam and online proctored) dates are announced. LPUNEST 2023 Registration process started on February 1, 2023. Visit LPU Entrance Exam LPUNEST 2023-24 to view programme wise LPUNEST dates. One can apply for the examination at the official website LPU Entrance Exam LPUNEST 2023 at least three days before the conduct of the exam. For Example: If the candidate wish to appear for exam on 17th May 2023, he/she must apply and book the slot on or before 14th May 2023. For appearing in LPUNEST candidate can opt for online mode or can select any suitable venue, date and time, subject to its availability. The test will have Comprehension, Essay, Short Notes and some objective type questions. Admission Test question paper will be in English. Candidates can write the answers in English or Marathi. However, there will be some questions which will have to be written only in English.
