Computer Science

In 1999, the Department of Computer Science at Maharaja Surajmal Institute was created. It used to offer the BIS program, which was a four-year curriculum (Hons.). BIS (Hons.) was later renamed Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), which is a three-year degree program. The course is designed to keep students up to date on the latest innovations in information technology and communication.

 Its purpose is to give qualified professionals to IT companies. After completing 10+2, students enroll in the BCA program, which prepares them for a variety of computer applications, including the most recent industry innovations. The BCA program at Maharaja Surajmal Institute is designed to help students develop their entire personality in order to prepare them for higher education, such as MCA, as well as job prospects in the IT industry. 

Two university gold awards have been awarded to the department. There are 21 permanent academic members in the department, with four Associate Professors and seventeen Assistant Professors.

The MSI BCA program is offered in two shifts by the department. The first shift has 120 pupils while the evening shift has 120 students. The course will last three years.

Business Administration & Commerce

In 1999, the Department of Business Administration and Commerce at Maharaja Surajmal Institute was founded. The department offers two BBA programs: BBA (General) and BBA (International) (Banking and Insurance). It seeks to create fundamental competency in major areas of business management in students.

It covers a variety of business topics such as communicating, analyzing situations, presenting one's own point of view in front of a large audience, making decisions based on quantitative and qualitative factors, and developing a holistic view of the various functional areas of the business environment. Students participate in summer training or internships at Maharaja Surajmal Institute as part of their curriculum to gain real-world experience working on real-world projects.

Since 2015, the department has also offered a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) program. The yearly intake for this program is 60 students in each of the first and second shifts. The course is designed to develop expertise in specific areas of accounting and its different dimensions, as well as a wide variety of management abilities. The course curriculum emphasizes in-depth subject-matter knowledge by emphasizing ideas such as basic theories, principles, techniques, and processes in commerce and accounting. 

The B. Com. (Hons.) degree program at Maharaja Surajmal Institute has a rigorous and advanced curriculum that prepares graduates for professions in commerce and accounting, as well as other professional positions such as economic, business, and security analysts, and opens doors to possibilities in higher education. There are 53 permanent faculty members in the department, including three professors, eleven associate professors, and 39 assistant professors. 

The BBA (General) program at Maharaja Surajmal Institute has 180 students in the first shift and 180 students in the second shift. In both shifts, the intake of BBA (Banking and Insurance) is 60. Intake for B.Com. (Hons.) is both 60 students in the first shift and the second shift.

Department of Education

Since 1999, the Department of Education at Maharaja Surajmal Institute has offered a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program. The NCTE recognizes the B.Ed. program. From the 2015-2016 session, the B.Ed. the program will last two years. There is a highly qualified teaching staff that uses all contemporary curriculum transaction techniques with a class of 100 pupils. 

The management works hard to provide prospective teachers with the necessary teaching skills, creative teaching methods, and cutting-edge audio-visual technology so that they may become effective teachers in the twenty-first century. This effort on the part of the faculty is reflected in the outcomes of the students, and all of this contributes to Maharaja Surajmal Institute being one of the most sought-after at GGSIP University. There are 13 permanent faculty members in the department.

To get a successful admission to the Maharaja Surajmal Institute, one must need to fulfill a few criteria such as:

• B.Com. (Hons.), BBA and BCA applicants must have completed the 10+2 examination.
• Applicants for the Maharaja Surajmal Institute B.Ed. program, however, must have a bachelor's degree in a specified field.

For Admission

1. Online Application Submission: Candidates must register on the Maharaja Surajmal Institute's website, fill out the online admission form, and pay the required fees. Candidates can choose the course they want to take when filling out the application.
2. Common Entrance Test (CET): Following the successful submission of the Maharaja Surajmal Instituteonline admission form, the university administers an online test known as the Common Entrance Test. It is required for all students seeking admission at Maharaja Surajmal Institute to take the Common Entrance Test and pass it.
3. Online Counseling: Following the announcement of the Common Entrance Test results, the university offers online counseling. All Common Entrance Test approved students must register for online counseling and select their preferred institutes. Following that, the university provides online counseling in the order of the candidates' CET scores. At the time of counseling, candidates have the option of selecting an Institute from among the available possibilities. Online counseling usually consists of two or three rounds.
4. Physical Reporting: After being assigned to an institute, students must report in person to the Maharaja Surajmal Institute to which they have been assigned.

On March 4, 2023, the IPU CET 2023 registration procedure began. For admission to various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate programs at Maharaja Surajmal Institute, candidates must go to the official website and fill out the application forms. Registration for IPU CET 2023 closes on April 30, 2023. The IPU CET 2023 is scheduled to take place in the first week of May 2023.

The application fee for IPU CET 2023 is INR 1200, which must be paid when filling out the online application form. Candidates will get a unique ID and password after completing the registration process, which they will use to fill out their personal, educational, and other information.

Candidates seeking admission to B.Tech and medical programs at Maharaja Surajmal Institute must have taken the JEE Main and NEET exams.

Candidates interested in Architecture and Law programs can apply using their NATA and CLAT results, which will be accepted.
