MITID Pune Placements 2024 - Average & Highest Package, Percentage

The placement cell of the MIT Institute of Design (MITID) works hard in order to provide better placement opportunities to all of the students who are admitted in the college. The campus recruitment process of MIT Institute of Design involves filling up the registration form by the interested organisations on the basis of their requirements. All the details are then shared with the students after which the interested ones may apply for the position. Profiles of the selected candidates are then shared with the organisations within 2-3 working days. The final step of the placements at MITID involves conducting interviews following which the students are selected by the organisations.

In the past few years, recruiting companies such as Bajaj, HCL, Cognizant, Wipro, TCS, TVS, Videocon, Mahindra, MTV, and many others have visited the campus of MIT Institute of Design for the campus placements. Students appearing for the placement process must complete their graduation project. They must also have experience of working under an Industry mentor as a part of the graduation project.

The Placement cell of the MIT Institute of Design (MITID) also arranges a two-month internship programme that starts in May every year. It allows students to gain experience of working in the corporate sector.

Since its inception, more impressive than the physical growth of MIT Institute of Design has been the remarkable record of accomplishment by its faculty members and the students. The cumulative work experience of the faculty members of MIT Institute of Design, which is more than 25 years in the industry, has enabled the institute in designing a unique way for training students. The faculty members have been training students to be industry ready and employable whilst being equipped with valuable inputs on the technology for real-time corporate exposure. In addition to the literary education, the faculty members of MIT Institute of Design follow a learner-centred approach where the faculty acts as a facilitator in bridging the gap between the students and their abilities.

As a premier design institute, MITID conducts regular workshops for training, self-development and learning of its students. This practice has made the students ready for corporate ventures. MIT ID students have now become a part of top design studios and MNCs both locally and globally. They have been placed in big organisations like TCS, BYJU’s, Godrej, FITCH, Future Factory, Infosys, IBM, etc.

Apart from this, the institute has been rigorously working towards the delivery of quality education and preparing the learners for their brighter future. For this, MIT Institute of Design is facilitated with extremely modern and state-of-the-art infrastructure that provide impeccable services for students as well as the staff members. The institute is equipped with an advanced library, computer labs with high configuration, projector room, auditorium, meeting room, incubation/ accelerator centre (DesignGild), clay sculpting studio, etc. It also has a wood cutting workshop, metal cutting workshop and advanced prototyping workshop with all latest CNC, laser cutting & 3D printing setup.

With the multidisciplinary curriculum, MIT Institute of Design promotes collaborative and creative strategies for design thinking and provides unparalleled training facilities to students. The institute is equipped with an active and dedicated Industry Relation Department which holds an excellent track record of placing students in diverse industries, sectors and studios. The department has powerful alliances with numerous industry partners and employers that enable students with ample placement opportunities for their learned skills.

The department acts as an interface between the industry and students, primarily enabling students to select their best career path. All students are delivered with placement assistance and counselling. In the year 2017-18, the average and maximum package offered to students were 8-10 Lakhs and 22 Lakhs respectively.
