Mody University Reviews

L
There are good placements for CSE students.

Overall: Since the campus is situated out of the town, many events organised are intra-college events. However, students can always try and approach heads and organise an inter-college fest. You can get a scholarship through JEE score, 85% aggregate and more board results which will be carried forward to the next semester if your CGPA is above 8. You can get only a first-year scholarship through MUST exam, for which you can apply online.

Placement: All the top companies ranging from Dell, DE Shaw to Amex visit our college each year. The highest salary package offered until now was 24 LPA, which was provided by Myntra. Since the last year, many companies are also offering internship opportunities to pre-final and final year students. I got a chance to be a summer intern in Dell Technologies after 3rd year, which was on-campus recruitment. Since the majority of students are from the CSE department, they get a lot of opportunities to get recruited through on-campus placements. If a student has enough potential, then they don't need to worry about placement opportunities since the current campus placement department makes sure to help students to grab some good salary packages.

Infrastructure: One thing that is most famous about our college is its lush green campus, with a lot of grounds. The college has all kinds of required facilities like a tuck shop, a huge mess which easily accommodates every student, etc. Wi-Fi works perfectly well, and there is an ample number of classrooms, which are designed in an old-fashioned way with a whiteboard. The library is huge and consists of books and all useful course-related books except for some new courses which can be added as per the request. There is a sports facility as well if you are an enthusiast, but there is no indoor court for badminton or no swimming pool. Other than that, the college has volleyball, basketball, football, horse riding and table tennis. Hostels are good with a set of common washrooms and bathrooms for each floor. The in-campus hostel is situated near the end of campus property, so the commute takes 10-15 minutes to the college building on foot. Bicycles or other things are not allowed, but the campus shuttle is available sometimes.

Faculty: Some of the teachers here are very helpful, and all the teachers are easy to approach. Attendance is strictly considered, and there is a mandatory criterion. Many new teachers are also joining the campus. It is an engineering curriculum, so just be updated with your material and be ready to questions asked.

Hostel: I'm staying in a hostel designed for people who only wanted to share a room with one other person. As a result, my hostel is minuscule in comparison to others. The rooms, too, are now designed for two people instead of one. The best thing about this university is that everyone's room is a complete shambles. Additionally, the costs are extremely high when compared to off-campus housing for students.
