For the National PG College admission to various undergraduate courses, the LUACMAT 2023 exam is expected to be held in July 2023. Registration for the same will tentatively begin in April 2023. The college accepts the ‘Lucknow University Associated Colleges Management Admission Test’ for admission to its UG courses like BBA, BCA, B.Com, B.Voc, and, BJMC. The college offers UG, PG, Diploma, and, Certificate courses in streams like arts, commerce, science, and, vocational education. All the National PG College courses are accredited by the NAAC with an ‘A’ grade and approved by the UGC.
Admission to various other courses at the college is based on merit. The college is affiliated with the University of Lucknow and has been awarded the ‘College with Potential for Excellence (CPE)’ status due to its supreme quality of education and faculty. The campus is located on the Rana Pratap Marg, Lucknow. The National PG College placement is done in reputed firms like HCL, Tech Mahindra, Amazon, Infosys, etc. The facilities provided by the college include canteens, hostels, sports grounds, medical aid, and NCC/NSS training. The college was established in 1974 by the Late CM of UP, Shri Chandra Bhanu Gupta. Further, the college is also a study centre for IGNOU and UPRTOU.

The college offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and, certificate courses to its students. The courses are offered in the streams of arts, commerce, science, management, computer science, and, journalism and mass communication. All the National PG College courses are offered under the affiliation of the University of Lucknow. The courses are also approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited by the NAAC. The admission process for various undergraduate courses offered at the college is based on the Lucknow University Associated Colleges Management Admission Test (LUACMAT). The LUACMAT is a crucial step in the National PG College admission processfor courses including BBA/BBA MS/BBA T, B.Com (Hons), BCA, BAJMC, and, B.Voc. The NPGC conducts the LUACMAT test every year for admission to various affiliating colleges of the University of Lucknow. A brief outline of the exam structure for the test is mentioned below:
- The test for BBA/BBA MS/BBA T will comprise of 2 tests of 60 minutes duration each. There will be 75 objective-type questions in each section.
- The test for BCA and B.Voc (SD and EG) will be of 90 minutes duration and there will be 100 MCQs.
- For BAJMC and B.Voc (Banking) will be of 60 minutes duration with 75 MCQs each.
- For B.Com (Hons), the test will be for 90 minutes in duration with 100 MCQs.
- There will not be any negative markings for the test.
Apart from the LUACMAT, the National PG College entrance exam 2023 also consists of the Lucknow University Associated Colleges Common Entrance Test (LUACCET). This is applicable for admission to the B.Com and B.Sc Mathematics courses.
National PG College Application Process
The college accepts applications in online as well as offline modes. The steps to fill out the application form are as follows:
Step 1: Visit the official website of the college which is npgc.in
Step 2: Go to the ‘Admission’ tab and then to the ‘Apply Now’ tab.
Step 3: A new page will open which will have the link for the National PG College admission form. Click on this link.
Step 4: Candidates will again be redirected to a new page which will have the provision to register as a fresh applicant as well as fill out the application form.
Step 5: Fill out the detailed form with all information and upload the photo and signature.
Step 6: Pay the application fee. The fee is Rs 1,000 for courses under LUACMAT and Rs 800 for all other courses.
Step 7: The National PG College admit card will be generated online once the application process for the respective entrance tests starts.

The college conducts various training and placement activities for its students. Some of these activities include mock interviews, group discussions, guest lectures, personality development sessions, etc. The average placement rate at the college is 70%. Admission to all programmes offered by the National PG College, Lucknow are done on the basis of entrance exam. The admission process will start from the first week of May 2017.
Procedure to apply for the exam:
- You will have to visit the campus of the college in order to purchase the application form for the entrance exam.
- Fill in the application form and post it to the required address in order to register for the exam.
- Once you have appeared for the exam and the result is announced, the college will start the counselling process basis which seats will be allotted.
