Overall: Right now, I'm in the second year of the MBA HR programme at NMIMS Mumbai. Students who want to take management courses should consider NMIMS. Its rankings are pretty good and it has a solid placement cell. The campus is dated despite the nice exteriors and overall campus. Professors are skilled at what they do and will make every effort to assist you. So far, my experience has been positive.
Placement: There are numerous placement opportunities available for you if book keeping and economics are your strong suits. Nearly all students get incredible jobs with top recruiters all over the country. Given the low level of competition, students with strong grades shouldn't worry about finding employment.
Infrastructure: The NMIMS University building is good enough with spacious classrooms and labs. The main building is opulent, but it serves only as a display and is not used for lectures. In Mumbai, there are many other colleges with much better college campuses.
Faculty: The NMIMS professors and instructors are very kind and articulate with their teachings. Though most of them are older, they are understanding and helpful. You won't have any trouble communicating with your teachers or asking for their assistance with your studies or other tasks.
Hostel: On the NMIMS campus, there are four main hostel buildings with all the necessary amenities. The rent for the hostel is a little high because it is in the heart of Mumbai; therefore, if a student cannot afford it, he can choose to stay in a PG close to the college.
Overall: I was a MBA Human Resource and graduated from NMIMS Mumbai in 2020. The college is among the few colleges in Mumbai that ensures students are offered job oriented knowledge and skills. The campus has ample facilities for students. NMIMS Mumbai placement cell always caters to the needs of students and trains them to ensure they are ready for professional life.
Placement: NMIMS Mumbai placement cell provides best possible placement opportunities to students. Google, Amazon, Deloitte, Capagemini etc. are some of the top recruiters of the college. Management students are offered summer internships and their industrial training is also conducted regularly.
Infrastructure: Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies Mumbai campus is modern and equipped with facilities such as a well stocked library, modern classrooms, fully air conditioned auditorium, indoor and outdoor sports facilities etc. The campus facilities make sure students do not face any inconvenience.
Faculty: The faculty at the college is helpful and cooperative. However, there are a few faculty members who do not entertain students' queries and their interaction is limited to four walls of classrooms.
Hostel: I resided in NMIMS Mumbai hostels for two years. My experience was neither too good nor too bad. The mess at the hostel serves delicious food but the options in the menu are limited. Further, there was not ample space in the rooms.
Overall: I'm a student in the MBA in HR programme at NMIMS Mumbai. The college campus and the on-campus hostels are both well-designed. For MBA graduates, there are numerous placement opportunities. The college collaborates with foreign universities through exchange programmes and has a positive reputation.
Placement: At NMIMS, everyone who completes their MBA finds employment thanks to excellent placement services. Many reputable recruiters who offer excellent job opportunities both inside and outside the city visit this college. The college hosts yearly placement fairs for recent graduates as well as internship opportunities.
Infrastructure: The college is easily accessible by buses, rickshaws, trains and taxis in city. There is also hostel facility available for outstation students. The campus is in the centre of mumbai and has multiple buildings.
Faculty: The professors are good but not always helpful. In our department, the teachers are strict. They can be quite rude and dismissive at times. The staff is, however, friendly and competent. The rest of the faculty is also welcoming and helpful.
Hostel: The dorms on campus are very clean and spacious. Although they are pricey, they offer the students all the amenities they need. Being on campus has the benefit of avoiding Mumbai's traffic and travel time.
Overall: I am currently s a student of MBA in HR at the School of Business, NMIMS Mumbai. It is a two-year full-time programme with a specialisation in human resources. Students must take the NMAT test conducted by the university to get admission. The school conducts business research workshops throughout the year for skill enhancement purposes. We also need to write a dissertation.
Placement: Placement at the School of Business Management is quite good. In 2022, students from MBA HR received the highest salary of around Rs 29 lakh per annum. Students also can get 8-10 weeks of summer internship opportunities in top organisations. MBA HR students got an average stipend of Rs 1 lakh last year.
Infrastructure: NMIMS Mumbai is very careful about its infrastructural facilities. The entire campus is fully-airconditioned. The classrooms at the School of Business Management are enabled with audio-visual facilities. We also have an MDP Hall for industry-institute interaction. Students can access all educational resources at the library,
Faculty: Faculty at the School of Business Management are equipped with the required expertise in their respective fields. There are more than 50 faculty members who pay great attention to making us learn throughout the course tenure. I have always found them extremely supportive and caring.
Hostel: There is no girls’ hostel at NMIMS Mumbai. However, there are rented residential facilities for the girls. There is a boys’ hostel for male students. As I have heard from my male friends, they pay around Rs 3,00,000 for hostel accommodation. We have a hostel application portal for that purpose.
