Orissa Engineering College in Bhubaneswar was the state’s first private Engineering college. In 1986, it was founded. Shri Kamini Kanta Patnaik’s vision resulted in the establishment of Orissa Engineering College, which houses the Odisha Electronics Control Library. It was dedicated by Biju Patnaik, Orissa’s then-chief minister. The alumni from the college operate all over the world. B.Tech, M.Tech, and MBA programs are available at the institute.

CAT- The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a management aptitude test that a candidate must pass to be admitted to the MBA programs offered by 20 IIMs and over 1,200 B-schools in India. The CAT 2023 exam will most likely be held on November 27. The schedule for the exams will be announced in the last week of July. Applications for CAT 2023 will be accepted beginning in the first week of August and until the third week of September 2022. The application fee for general candidates is Rs 2,200, while the fee for reserved candidates is Rs 1,100.
GATE- Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an online national level examination for admission to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other institutes/universities across India for Master of Engineering (M.E.), Masters in Technology (MTech), and direct Ph.D. programs. In February 2023, GATE will release a provisional answer key and the window to challenge the provisional answer key was open from February 21 to February 25. The exam authority will release the GATE 2023 final answer key.
MAT- The All India Management Association (AIMA) administers the Management Aptitude Test (MAT), a national-level entrance exam for admission to MBA/PGDM programs. The exam is given four times a year, in February, May, September, and December. Qualifying candidates are eligible for admission to over 800 business schools that accept MAT scores.
The MAT is administered in three modes: offline (Paper Based Test or PBT), online (Computer Based Test or CBT), and remotely proctored (Internet Based Test or IBT).
OJEE- Odisha Joint Entrance Exam (OJEE) is a state-level entrance exam for admission to B.Pharm, MBA/PGDM, MCA, and M.Tech programs administered by the OJEE Cell. The exam will be administered via computer-based testing (CBT) for various papers. Candidates can apply for admission to various programs offered by OJEE participating colleges based on their OJEE 2022 scores. OJEE is also used to get into Lateral Entry B.Tech, MCA/Lateral Entry MCA programs.
XAT- The XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) is a national-level management entrance exam administered by XLRI, Jamshedpur, for admission to MBA/PGDM programs. The XAT exam paper contains 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) from Decision Making, Verbal & Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, and General Knowledge. Every January, the XAT exam is held on the first Sunday. XAT cut-offs for XLRI’s PGDM-BM program are typically in the 95th percentile for male candidates and the 92nd percentile for female candidates.

ORISSA ENGINEERING COLLEGE (OEC) has grown into a premier technical institute in Odisha dedicated to quality engineering education over the last 25 years.
