Parul University hosts Projections 2024, an innovative and technologically advanced platform for young tech enthusiasts to showcase their creativity and innovative prowess in the field of technology. Projections 2024 saw over 12,000 participants from 15+ states of the country and different universities nationwide. The event recorded more than 50,000 footfalls and viewers.

The Parul University Technical Fest is Gujarat’s Largest Technical Festival, with a 19-year legacy. It features over 50 technical and non-technical events, along with more than 20 workshops and lectures led by industry professionals. Additionally, it offers prize money worth Rs 7 lakhs. The event primarily emphasizes advancements in robotics, aeronautics, IoT, AR/VR, Blockchain, and Coding, among other areas.

During Projections 2024, Dhruvil Shah, Dean of Student Welfare said, “For 19 years, Projections has consistently delivered innovation. This year's theme, 'Cosmos', inspired our students to create a masterpiece of innovation and collaboration. As the Dean of Student Welfare, I'm thrilled to see students manage such events with excellence.”

The event was concluded with a performance from the popular musical duo Vishal and Sheykhar!

Parul University, on February 17, 2024, organised a CSR Convention & Best Practices in CSR Awards. The university in collaboration with Sakshamthad Foundation organised this CSR convention, which brought together industry executives, students, and representatives from various CSR firms, NGOs, and social work foundations. Through this initiative the authorities aimed to collaborate and assist, directly or indirectly, in promoting effective CSR practices. To create a database of credible implementing agencies with whom business entities and donor organisations can engage and work.

Parul University’s Parul Institute of Design is orgnaising the Vadodara Film & Design Festival from April 18 to 22, 2023. The last date to register for this event is April 15, 2023. The Vadodara Film and Design Festival (VFDF) was created with the intention of fostering design talent as well as supporting independent and local films. In order to interact and engage on a local to a worldwide level, VFDF aims to bring together expert designers and student designers from the domains of film, animation, visual communication and applied arts under one roof.

The VFDF's mission is to provide young and aspiring designers and filmmakers with venues where they can show off their work and screen their short films for discriminating audiences while, more crucially, receiving constructive criticism from eminent authorities in a variety of industries. More than 200 motion arts contributions from nations including Brazil, Iran, the United Kingdom, the United States, France, Japan, Indonesia, and Bangladesh are included in this year's Parul University Vadodara VFDF 2023 event. Nine significant awards, including Best Film, Best Documentary, Best Animation, and other awards, will be given to the best among these exceptional works of art and innovation.

Students of Parul University took part in the West Zone All India Inter-University (AIU) Championship hosted at Jain University. The performance of the students was outstanding that astounded the audience. The Western vocal group came second, bringing this accomplishment to the university. The students brightened the environment with their excellent performances, earning them recognition. Some international students from Parul University secured first, second, third, and fourth positions in the singing competition of the Western group, elocution competition, western vocal solo, and poster-making competition, respectively. The students were recognised for their prestigious effort and dedication in participating. Parul University continues to build platforms on campus that enable students to know their potential in an effort to put this youthful energy in positive directions. 

Parul University recently bagged a sanction grant of Rs 1.8 crore as part of the Gujarati government education departments student startup and innovation policy ( SSIP 2.0). The Parul University Institute of Engineering and Technology recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Gujarat Knowledge Society. The SSIP scheme will provide funding of Rs 40 lakh per year for five years to the university's innovators and researchers.

The SSIP's purpose is to construct an end-to-end support system in educational institutions that will offer ample support for ideas for better execution, as well as to create a student-centric innovation and pre-incubation ecosystem for students and innovators. Other projects undertaken by the institution include the 124 project, which obtained funding worth more than 80 lakh rupees under the policy's 1.0 numerous efforts for student entrepreneurship and innovation.

Parul University Institute of Medical Sciences and Research National Healthcare Skills Conclave 2023 successfully concluded at its leading Skills & Simulation Centre “Pragya”. This grand event drew over 1200 participants from various institutions across the country. The academic event allowed participants to learn from 50 National Experts, resource persons, and clinicians from various specialities. The event witnessed the gathering of various healthcare professionals from different specialities at the Western region’s State of the Art Advanced Skills and Simulation Centre. 

Students took part in over 34 workshops covering topics such as advanced airway management, ECG, first aid and triage, basic surgical skills, laparoscopy, regional anaesthesia, basic cath lab procedure, hospital infection control, mechanical ventilation, emergency trauma management, and many more, with the objective of developing problem-solving skills and collaborative effort.

Parul University NCC cadets will participate in the 2023 Republic Day New Delhi parade. The grand event annually witnesses the attendance of thousands of proud citizens and government officials, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Parul University also expresses its pride by giving its NCC students the honour of marching before the nation's Prime Minister. Over the last six months, the students of Parul University underwent rigorous training competing against other cadets in order to represent the Gujarat Directorate.

The university's Armed Forces Motivational Cell is constantly training NCC cadets in an effort to instil military bearing, leadership traits and to assist them in pursuing professions in the Armed Forces. These efforts have paid rich dividends for the NCC cadets of Parul University.  Cadets are taught physical fitness, self-discipline, public speaking, military bearing, and drill competitions, among other important skills.

The Parul University Sevashram hospital received two prestigious awards at the ICC healthcare excellence awards. The awards were given under the categories of more than 300 bedded hospitals in the city. Parul Sevashram hospital has served the surrounding communities' needs and provides state-of-the-art facilities to help university students gain practical experience. The 750-bedded multi-speciality Parul Sevashram Hospital has grown to become one of Vadodara's leading healthcare facilities.

Parul University, Faculty of Management, recently hosted the 3rd edition of the international conference on Digital Transformation. The conference highlighted the importance of technology, digital adaptation in today's world, and how digitalization is taking place in modern business environments in an effort to create an educative platform on blending human and technical capabilities. The two-day conference brought together experts worldwide to share their knowledge. It was made up of online and offline engagements, including expert sessions, panel discussions, technical sessions, and poster presentations. 

A total of 200 abstracts were received, with 65 papers presented by delegates from various universities in the areas of entrepreneurship challenges in digitalisation, the impact of corporate governance on financial performance, digitalisation in the MSME sector, AI and chatbots in the banking industry. Experts from multiple higher educational institutions and more than 20 of Parul University’s PhD scholars presented online track papers, including international scholars from countries like Ethiopia.

Parul University receives the “Crusader of the youth” award at the decade of IIMUN ceremony in Mumbai. Dr Parul Patel, vice president of the institution, accepted the award from Mr Ajay Piramal, an Indian billionaire, industrialist, and head of the Piramal group. This award is granted to institutions that have significantly improved the lives of India's youth during the past decade. Parul University has a passion for transforming lives through education and has been continuously creating pathways to ensure the growth and development of its students.

Over the years, the university has provided its students with the necessary resources to help them navigate their academics as well as their goals. Through strategic structures such as continual leadership training such as the international tour under the school of leadership, start-up and entrepreneurship platforms, civil services and motivational training, amongst many others.  Furthermore, the university often conducts events in which some of the country's most inspirational personalities visit the campus and interact with students. A unique initiative was taken by the social responsive cell of Parul University - BAL MILAN for children of Waghodiya taluka. It is an effort to provide a platform for the children of rural schools to showcase their talents in sports and cultural activities hosted at the sports grounds and halls of the university. The objective of this BAL MILAN programme is to take a step towards promoting the poor and vulnerable children for good quality education and make them independent citizens of our country.

The event was a grand bash as around 200 children from different schools around Waghodia participated in this exclusive event. Our honourable chairperson of SRC, Dr. Geetika Patel Ma'am, was the chief guest for the program. Various sports and cultural activities, such as the 100 & 200 meters running race, solo and group dance, and singing performances, took place where the tiny tots got a platform to showcase their talent. 

In the end, the children who won the competitions were appreciated with medals, trophies and certificates Resp. Provost sir, pro-VC sir, and Registrar, sir, graced the occasion. They also encouraged children through her motivational speech.

Parul University conducted a two days freshers fest 2022 at their gigantic campus. Over 11,000 new students from various regions of the country attended the event. The aim of the carnival event was to celebrate the students' transition from school to university. 

There were plenty of activities such as games, music/ EDM,  jamming sessions, dance etc. The students also enjoyed fantastic performances from artists Anuv Jain and Zephyrtone. Parul University Vice-President Dr Parul Patel shared his thoughts on the event. ‘We welcome our new batch 2022-23 to Parul University and wish them good luck for starting their journey towards becoming future leaders’, he said. 

On the first day of the event, the electronic music of Zephyrtone entertained the students. Whereas on the second day, the youth icon Anuv Jain mesmerised the students with his brilliant voice and concluded the two days fest in the best possible way. 

Parul University is among the top universities in the country, it recently hosted an exclusive session with Ashneer Grover, the renowned entrepreneur, former Managing Director and Co-founder of Bharat Pe, and a judge reality television show, Shark Tank, for Parul University Talks (PU Talks).  PU Talks is a motivational platform for students to be inspired by the life stories of renowned people from several walks of life.

Additionally, in the context of what constitutes promising entrepreneurs, Grover also shared with the students his admiration for entrepreneurs such as Nikhil Kamath, the Cofounder of Zerodha and Divyank Turakhia, the reputed serial entrepreneur and investor.

Before the completion of the 2021-22 academic and placement season, the Parul University has already successfully placed over 1,460 final-year students in over 1024 national and international recruiters. The university this year has also brought the highest package of Rs 30 LPA, offered to the students. The University, in the first four months of its placement season, saw 20 Super Dream Companies and 100 Dream Companies visiting the campus to provide students with leading opportunities. Some of these recruiters include E6 Data, Josh Technologies Pvt Ltd, MG Motors, Reliance Industries, Adani Group, Worley, Sterlite Technologies, etc. 

The students have received placement opportunities across multiple fields, which include management, agriculture, pharmacy, engineering, nursing, IT and Computer Science, amongst others. The University's students have been receiving highly lucrative packages across multiple fields averaging at 7 lakhs. A B.Tech CSE graduate was offered Rs 18 LPA. A B.Tech ECE, secured a package of 9.58L at Think 360.ai and an MBA student secured a package of 7.5L at Jaro education. Parul University displays a skyrocketing placement record of 100 per cent, with package offers up to Rs 30 lakhs per annum.

Parul University engineering students attended the byteXL webinar. It is  one of the leading experiential learning platforms for IT career aspirants. The maiden webinar addressed the key issue of how engineering institutes can cater to changing tech demands. The experts in the panel deliberated on education being one sector that will boom during a recession since people will be thinking of gaining additional skill sets and knowledge. While it doesn’t affect the education system, the recession does affect placements to a certain extent. It particularly affects those campuses with a limited number of placement companies.

Mr. Santhosh Nair, MD (Global) of Industry Collaborations & Academic Strategies at Parul University was also a part of panel member at the webinar where he discussed research, innovation and employability. The one-hour discussion centered on the current hiring environment in tech. It also touched upon how institutes can best facilitate students and resources they can best leverage amidst talks of an incoming hiring winter and looming recession.

Parul University is an internationally renowned university that offers a wide range of diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate courses in multiple disciplines. The university recently hosted 10th edition of the I.I.M.U.N (India’s International Movement to Unite Nations) Conclave at its Vadodara campus where dignitaries from all walks of life gathered to inspire over 15,000 students, including Gaur Gopal Das, a well-known public speaker and spiritual leader. He spoke about the spiritual essence of India.

The views expressed in Das' speech were aligned with Parul University's philosophy which seeks to make future leaders who, drawing from their holistic development, will contribute to the progress of the country. The leader added “This is the culture which can save us from mental health issues”.

Parul University Vadodara has taken various actions to maintain a healthy environment on campus in regard to mental health initiatives. The institution made an effort to offer students support around-the-clock for any mental health issues during the unpleasant moments of the pandemic, especially with resources like access to the portal YourDost that includes renowned psychologists.
 

Parul University has organized its second edition of Vadodara Start-Up Festival virually, and the event was attended by 20,540 members. The event witnessed the partcipation of 30 esteemed speakers spread over 25 sessions. There were 50 start-up mentoring sessions that played a crucial role in imparting culture of business innovation among the students. The event was organized in line with the national agenda for further Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat. 

Parul Universitry Students Shine in GATE 2021

Students of Parul University have excelled in GATE 2021. The students were amongst the top 500 and 1000 qualifers across the country. The GATE Examination Cell of Parul University played a vital role in preparing the students for this nartional-level toughest PG engineering entrance exam. A total number of 13 students from the university cleared the exam out of which 2 students were from Petroleum Engineering, 6 from Aeronautical Engineering, two students each from Mechanical Engineering & Computer Science and 1 student from Chemical Engineering stream. Students appeared for GATE seured AIR 213, 327 & 392 respectively. 

Parul University Organizes VADx Talk

With an aim to empower entreprenuers and aspiring entrepreneurs, Start-up Incubation and Acceleration Centre of Parul University organized a 'VADx Talk', and the event witnessed the partyicipation of Shri Govind Dolakia, tycoon of the Diamond Industry. He is also the Founder and Chairman of Shri Ramakrishna Exports Private Limited. Entreprebuerial stakeholders from various start-ups pertaining to differents sectors and students attended the event. 

Parul University Hosts Vadodara Hackathon 2.0

Parul University successuly organized the second edition of Vadodara Hacakthon in line with nationalwide drives for Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India. Almost 2,600 students from various universities and colleges across the state have participate in the Hackathon. Participants were given almost 250 problem statements from different sectors, and some of the topics include Vadodara Cyber Crime, Vadodara Smart City, Disan food, Paragon etc. 

Parul University Organizes 4th Annual Convocation

on March 13, 2021, Parul University organized its 4th Annual Convocation Ceremony where 4,448 graduating students from diverse disciplines were awarded degrees. Parul University Students Secure Admission in IITs, NITs, IIITs, IISc 

Some of the students graduated UG engineering courses from Parul University have secured admission in leading NITs, IIITs, IITs and IISc Bangalore. Bhensaniya Parita and Sandipkumar Patel, two of University alumni from the Department of Aeronautical engineering secured admission in IIT-Kharagpur. Both the students were among the AIR 50 with a rank of 24 and 47 respectively in GATE exam. Nirmal Patel and Parth Modhvadia who graduated their Computer Science Engineering studies and were selected to pursue their further studies at IIIT Bangalore. Harshil Gohel, an aeronautical engineering student of the University made an secured AIR 10 in GATE exam. He secured admission at IISc Bangalore.
