Overall: The infrastructure is really good, the professors are very experienced, there is a lot of exposure to clinics and many competitions. They encourage students to do research. I am a student there myself.
Placement: This college is known abroad too. Many doctors from here go abroad and they get placed very easily as all the students are trained the same way and everyone gets the same exposure.
Infrastructure: Great classrooms, labs and very clean. The new classrooms are very modern equipped with new technology and air conditioners...the labs are great too with all items loaded.
Faculty: Faculty is highly experienced, knowledgeable and talented. They answer your doubts immediately and they are very approachable. Every department has ma y pgs who are very helpful too
Hostel: Very neat hostel, every student gets an individual room with attached bathroom. Laundary will be done and the cloths will be ironed too. The wardens are very kind. Safety is ensured.
Overall: Psg imsr is an absolute package.. they have great infrastructure, great classroom, very helpful faculties, clean hospital and a very spacious campus for absolute experience! I have thoroughly enjoyed my 5 years in that campus.. The hostel room are lovely. Only one per room from 2nd year . First year has shared room ( but when I studied we had individual rooms from the starting). The hostel food is god but we get bored with same food every week. The canteen food is okayish. Meanwhile, the coffee akka does an excellent job.. it's the saviour for many interns and exam going students. The auditorium is very spacious and well lit. Our cultural program is one of a kind and happens for 4-5 days a year . It's literally a festival
Placement: If you pass out as an Psg graduate, you get treated seperately. However, it's not the place you study, it's the effort you put. Psg hospitals has decent number of patients, however student has to approach a patient to learn more. Faculties encourage the students to do so. Patient is always the best teacher.
Infrastructure: We have seperate blocks for paramedic, nursing and mbbs.. the classrooms are well equiped and has LED screen.. Very comfortable seating arrangement.. We have many laboratories in the college block.. Microbiology lab, biochemistry lab, Pathology lab, Physiology lab, al the laboratories are well equipped. The Dissection hall has many cadavers and indeed the hall for many conversations and memories. U will miss the smell of formalin after first year.. I bet!
Faculty: Faculties are well experienced and easily approachable. They make the experience wholesome. Biochemistry and Anatomy has one of the excellent faculties. You can ask them doubt ample number of times, still they explain you with smile in their faces. The faculties use multiple way from teaching. Starting from Small group discussions to student teaching
Hostel: As I mention previously, the hostel rooms are excellent from second year onwards.. first years usually stay in old hostel.. where they have sharing rooms and bathrooms.. however bathrooms are regularly cleaned. From 2nd year onwards, you'll get individual rooms with attaches bathrooms. They'll clean the rooms and bathrooms once a week on request.AC rooms are available when requested beforehand. Dhobi service is paid. Hostel food is good but it's monotonous.. girls hostel hours vary from year to year.. however you have to come before 9pm.
Overall: Being from the same town, PSG medical was always known for its admission of NRIs and expensive tuition, but in 2016 after the introduction of NEET, it became more and more inclusive, although the crowd was rather questionable, and there was a rather unpleasant shift in the general behaviour of the students with less teamwork, and more of a toxic environment for everyone compared to the batches from 2015 and before.
Infrastructure: The campus is covered in trees and beautiful lawns and a very pleasant atmosphere. Recently built academic block is very highly advanced, with state of the art anatomy dissection hall and large lecture galleries and new advanced laboratories. The new hospital building is also very impressive with large spacious wards and plenty of room for teaching. The canteen is also easily accessible, although quite pricey and with unfortunate timings, it's quite difficult to find proper dinner while perhaps working the night shift, however it has variety of shops and options available.
Faculty: Faculty are very friendly and approachable, the teaching in non clinical subjects is relatively okay, medicine will always require students to be self taught mostly, lectures and teachers are available for clearing doubts and giving an outline on the syllabus. Clinical side the faculty are very good, with well designed lesson plans and they are very friendly and open to clearih any doubts.
Hostel: The new hostel opened in 2017, provides single rooms with en suite bathrooms and a/c or fan on request, with adequate storage, desk, chair, stool and bed provided. It is very clean and they provide very good facilities, however, it is very pricey, and staying alone in a single room negates the feeling of a college hostel life, or space to make many friends or memories as most people are forced to stay by themselves, and that has led to some difficult times for students given the unpleasant environment among the class. However the infrastructure is very advanced, the mess is nearby, and it is easily accessible, however if ordering food, or attempting to go to the library, the academic block, or the hospital the distance is quite far on foot. Due to the pricing, many students opt for renting homes on the outside of campus, where there are many options since there is a school and is completely a residential area outside the campus.
