The Central library at Ramachandra College of Engineering has been built to International Standards, Spreads over an area of 700 sq.m. It is centrally air-conditioned, well-protected with fire alarm, CCTV. Specialized collections of Books, Journals & Non-book materials are available in Basic Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Biotechnology, Humanities and Social Sciences. The Library remains open on all days of year even on public holiday for the benefit of hostlers. The total seating capacity of the library is 300.Central library has 1941 titles and 8823 volumes. The college is subscribing to 60 National and 36 International journals nearly 750 e-learning CD’s covering the major core subjects various disciplines. Very soon the college is a becoming a member of SONET, an A.P. Government sponsored "Society for Networking for Excellence in Technical Education". In an attempt to overcome the serious shortage of well-qualified and experienced teachers in certain engineering disciplines, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has set up this society. The Central Library has computerized all its activities including Acquisition, Cataloguing, Circulation, and Stock Verification using E-Z Library software.The central library uses Barcode and Biometric technology for computerized circulation system and stock verification. The library has developed in-house facility for bar coding of books and ID cards.
