SCIT (Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology) Pune is one of the top institutes in India that offers MBA, Executive MBA and PGD courses in the field of IT (Information Technology). The admission process for courses offered by SCIT begins on different dates. SCIT releases an official schedule for admissions, and the candidates must understand that the admission process would be conducted as per the schedule released by SCIT.
SCIT MBA ITBM and MBA Data Sciences and Data Analytics programmes are most sought after among the students. Candidates aspiring to join these courses in SCIT must clear SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) to be eligible for the admission process. SNAP score is the mandatory criterion for SCIT MBA admissions. Aspiring candidates must submit a separate application form for SNAP and SCIT MBA courses. The online form can be filled through the official website of SNAP and SCIT. For Executive MBA (IT) and PGDITBM courses offered by SCIT, SNAP score is not mandatory for admission. There are separate eligibility norms and admission rules for these courses. Usually, the admission process for these courses begins in February/ March every year.
The candidates must have a graduate/ bachelor degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% of the marks. The candidates must have studied Mathematics as one of the subjects in Class 12. Candidates must clear SNAP entrance exam to be eligible for the admission process.
The SCIT selection process for MBA course majorly involves three stages. The candidates must clear all the stages to secure MBA admission at SCIT. The detailed selection process of SCIT for MBA course can be checked below –
Stage 1 – Preliminary Shortlisting of Candidates
SCIT shall shortlist the candidates based on his/ her score in the SNAP entrance exam.
Candidates’ past academic record will be also considered for preliminary shortlisting.
Only shortlisted candidates at this stage shall be eligible for Stage 2 selection process of SCIT.
Stage 2 – GE-PIWAT
The shortlisted candidates in Stage 1 will be invited to participate in GE (Group Exercises), PI (Personal Interview), and WAT (Written Ability Test).
The candidates must perform well in these activities, as these activities have a specific weightage in the selection process for SCIT MBA course.
Stage 3 – Final Selection
The overall performance of candidates in SNAP and stage 2 selection process are taken into consideration for final selection. The final selection of candidates for MBA course of SCIT is based on the following criteria –

The candidates must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% of the marks. They must have a minimum of 3 years (36 months) of full-time work experience in the IT domain.
The selection is done on the basis of the profiles of applicants, SCIT shortlists the candidates for Personal Interview The shortlisted candidates will have to appear for Personal Interview/ Interaction on the date specified by SCIT. Final selection of candidates will be based on the candidate’s profile and performance in personal interview.The list of candidates shortlisted for personal interview will be published on the official website of SCIT.
The candidates must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% of the marks. They must have a minimum of 18 months of full-time work experience in IT or allied fields/ sectors.
Selection of candidates is based on the profile of applicants, SCIT shortlists the candidates for Personal Interview. The shortlisted candidates will have to appear for Personal Interview/ Interaction on the date specified by SCIT. The final selection of candidates will be based on the candidate’s profile and performance in personal interview. The list of candidates shortlisted for personal interview will be published on the official website of SCIT.
