Overall: My college experience is good.Southfield College is one of the best college in Darjeeling,it is NAAC A accredited women's college.The environment is peaceful,location and weather conditions being so pleasant and surrounded by greenary it feels like a heaven.The quality of teaching is ok.Southfield college aims to provide a holistic development of women,the motto of the college is "Enlightenment, Empowerment and Emancipation through Education".the best things I liked in my college is the cultural events, talking about facilities like smart boards,5G wifi connection, purified hot/cold drinking water, library, various clubs activities, sports, canteen, common room.Infrastructure and hygiene are well maintained but the issue is washroom overall it's a good campus.
Placement: If you're capable you will get a good package, College provide us Career Oriented Programmes such as Communicative English,Eco-Tourism,Mass Communication, Women's Studies, Remedial Teaching and Entry into Services.
Infrastructure: Southfield College is situated on hilly region.Campus is beautiful and has a descent infrastructure and peaceful environment surrounded by different types of trees and medicinal plants.The facilities like Smart classrooms, Library, Infirmary, Sports centre, Computer labs, Language lab,Hostel, Canteens are good.Infrastructure are well maintained but I have just a issue with washroom.
Faculty: The faculty were very experienced, friendly and supportive.A lot of them are young and friendly they usually understand your concerns and help you out with your problems.The quality of teaching is ok.But some of them are very rude just like every college has one.Overall faculty members are well behaved , kind and supportive.
Hostel: Life is an adjustment but we do not realise it until we are made to live in a different atmosphere and with new and different people.Talking about the hostel faculties are friendly, infrastructure are simple and meals are healthy, though the hostel campu is small in area and quite far away viewing on this problem college decide to build a new girls hostel near the college campus. Facilities and environment are good.
